me: tall girl is so cheesy and redundant meh
also me a Duckie stan who is still petty and bitter about that Pretty in Pink ending: hAH john hughes ilove you but like take as sip babez, they really did that ending 🍸
People out there saying Dunkleman’s trash since he’s rude to Stig at first because of Jodi liking him like you’d all be thrilled about your crush falling for someone else.
And yes, he’s not unproblematic because of looking at Jodi while she sleeps and pursuing her for many years (although I still think she actually returned those feelings all the time, he just didn’t fit her “checklist”), but I don’t care. What matters to me is that he stood up for her when no one else would at that party. And he didn’t come bragging about it to her - didn’t mention at all because he didn’t expect her to change her mind about dating him because of that. He waited for her to come to terms with her height and move past her insecurities so she could end up with the person she actually wanted.
But of course, unless someone’s absolutely perfect, they’re trash, according to tumblr. Hope your halos don’t grow too heavy.
As soon as I saw Jack Dunkelman I could tell his character was based on Ducky from Pretty in Pink and I knew I JUST KNEW that Jodi would end up with Dunkelman in order to fix the fact that Molly Ringwald didn’t end up with Ducky way back
I am satisfied
Tall Girl said screw you pretty in pink let the girl end up with the best friend send tweet
I mean come on. Dunkleman dresses like Duckie. Stig wears the exact suit Blane wears.
This is Jack Dunkleman. And you may be asking, why is he carrying his books in a milk crate? Well, I’ve been friends with him for years, and that’s still a mystery to me. What’s even more of a mystery is why he’s crazy about someone twice his size.

A Writer's legacy
Our hands are smeared with ink and coal and oil. Black and blue stripes that run down our arms and hands.
Our fingers are littered with small, painful paper cuts and the red blooms aggressively against our skin.
The lips are chapped and split after biting and sucking on them countless times. Wondering and pondering which words to choose.
To express our fear, our happiness, or dread and love. Our hate and bitterness. And the hurt that makes our heart bleed the crimson red.
We sit hunched over books and listen to the silent tune of the worlds that are stuck between the lines and the galaxies hiding in each chapter.
Long or short hair hides our face, for we do not want you to see the expression we wear when we lose a friend that never existed but lived within our dreams.
And we cry and suffer and hope for people we never met. And we honour and grieve and fight for the friends we knew would do the same for us.
And then, when we finally look up to meet your stare…
You can see the universe in our eyes and the loss and love we felt for something and someone you will never be able to understand as long as you do not try to do so.
A writer’s heart is shattered easily for we wear it on our sleeves. One wrong move and it will fall and hit the floor, exploding into tiny fragments.
We are nothing but children who dare to dream. Nothing but kids with stars in their eyes and wind in their hair.
We see the beauty in the dust that dances in the sun and the old books that are but rubbish to the others.
And we know that, at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter that we are here. The world will keep on turning even when the dust of our bones has long been carried away by the gentle breeze of the sea.
So we leave something behind. It’s not a momentum. Not a giant statue of ourselves.
But something that will never be lost.
Something written. Or something told. Maybe sung. And something gold.
A sentence or a verse or just a simple word.
Something that will last decades and centuries and millenia and aeons.
And still, it’s just a dream.

The End of the F***ing World
It’s strange. A lot of the time you don’t register the important moments as they happen. You only see that they were important when you look back.
