@everlasting53

I am dumbass the fool

Nora: You remember the Cabots and that affair with Emogene we helped out with?

Danse: Uhm, no. You took Nick and left me at home staring into the middle distance. After what we've been through you didn't have to sideline me like that.

Nora: Okay we are NOT going to dig into this ancient history right now, Danse.

Danse: Was it a social anxiety thing? Did... did I smell? I mean you only took one of us at a time.

Hancock: Some sad violin music coming from somewhere...

Nora: Can we not do this right now?

Archive.org is facing a lawsuit

tldr: the Internet Archive/WayBack Machine is super important in term of archived content, billions of stuff are on there, and with the current event happening in the world like stated above, without this tool, it will be hard to properly document what took place. It will be easy for certain people to rewrite history. Dont let them.

DONATE HERE (post dont get much exposure with working links sorry)

IF YOU CANT DONATE THEN PLEASE SPREAD THE INFO

On twitter, tumblr, facebook, heck, anywhere you want, this needs to be talked about !

they’re being sued due to putting together an “emergency library”, essentially, in the wake of schools and libraries closing due to covid-19.

you can read about it in a few places. here’s one article on the subject, but there’s plenty to be found.

The Internet Archive is so important there are scarcely words for it. Aside from the obvious benefits of the wayback machine, the archive hosts untold amounts of internet content and media. Memes, independent music and film, restored or difficult to access silent films and historical photographs, images of long-lost products and cultural icons. Scans of magazines, books, posters, postcards…

If you’ve never really explored the internet archive you really should. It is stunning what it has stored. It’s used by your every day person to watch Godzilla movies, by researchers and historians, by writers… because remember it’s all free.

It’s more than just a collection of internet history it’s a collection of nigh on everything that has passed through the internet—which, when you think about it, is fucking a lot. It’s essentially a digitized library and a digitized Smithsonian. Imagine the Smithsonian getting sued! Imagine the New York public library getting sued!! For allowing people to read its material for free. Fucking ridiculous.

Boost the heck out of this my dudes!! Support 👏 the 👏 archive! 👏

This is what it’s like living in Michigan

It’s a Monty Python skit.

Guy: *Singing* I’m doing some fishing…

Officer: *Emerges from the water with a grunt* You there, Sir!! I certainly hope you’ve got a fishing license!

Guy: *Panicking* Wha, no, I don’t!

Officer: Oh no?

Guy: *Screaming*

Officer: I’ll have you beheaded!!

As a Michigan native,  I confirm this is all true.

Ok but legit the funniest part of this is that the cat just knows what he’s about to do before his tongue is even out. He’s done this more than once. A lot more.
