Season 8 is upon us, and I will eventually find time to make posts here regularly again. For now, they’ll be sporadic as I’m focusing on @swearyshera and the upcoming She-Ra Uncut abridged series.

She-Ra Abridged Thing - Let’s get serious!
So, I guess I’m gonna go ahead and do something a little more organised. I have written a script for a short trailer-style thing, and I’m working on a full episode, so I’d like to see who wants to/has the time to contribute to this and future instalments.
First of all, my standard disclaimer - I’m figuring this out as I go along. It might be slow, we might give up after one video, but I want to give it a good go. If you’re interested, there’s more information at the link below and a Google form. You’ll need to be signed in to a google account, but I don’t think I can see the name, photo or email address associated with it (unless you upload a file via the form, but there’s an option to avoid that)
There’s no rush, I’ll leave the form open for a couple of weeks to allow people to organise and record. Those of you who have helped me out with the test scenes don’t need to submit your voice unless you want to also audition for another character. As so many people are interested, it will likely be one character per VA (although if some characters don’t get much interest, I may double up).

Time for a break!
So, after over a year of daily posts, I’m going to press pause on this blog for a short while (not forever, I promise!). There are a few reasons for this:
- Firstly, and probably the most important reason is time. I started this shortly after we were all confined to our homes because of That Damn Virus. Since then, I’ve returned to my full-time job, I’ve also got some fanfic in progress and another blog (plus Hordak’s twitter!) to make stuff for. Talking of which...
- Those of you who follow my other blog, @swearyshera will I’m doing a lot of posts over there currently (and if you’re not following, please do!). I love doing it, but it does take time to make everything. I’m also in the early stages of exploring a video version (a proper ‘She-Ra Abridged’, if you will) and writing a script for that is somewhat time consuming
- I’m also running out of B99 quotes that I can actually use. Some don’t make sense in a She-Ra context, some would be amazing, but the She-Ra scenes don’t exist (I really wanted to do the ‘we made the world’s hottest baby’ line, but obviously there’s no screenshots for that. I might consider getting someone to draw it though), and eventually the time it takes to find a quote, find the scenes, etc becomes so long.
So go follow sweary she-ra to inflict more of my humour upon yourself. I might make a few sporadic posts here if something really stands out, and I’ll definitely be back for when season 8 finally drops!

Just a quick note, I do have a few suggestions in my inbox (and some have been there a while, sorry !). I mostly haven't answered yet because finding scenes to use is either difficult or impossible for certain quotes. I'll keep trying, fear not, but if you've sent me something and I haven't answered, that's why!
