The way that The Spot wants to be Miles’ nemesis to get revenge and how both he and Miles are played off like jokes. The way others don’t really take them as a serious threat. The way they mirror each other about it and feeling upset that they aren’t taken seriously as their lives fall apart from being turned into something more than you were. The way that both of them are fed up and take action about it and slowly reveal they are threats. The way they force others to take them into consideration because they SHOULD BE.

THE WAY THAT THE SPOT LOOKS LIKE MILES SELF PORTRAIT FROM THE FIRST MOVIE THAT REPRESENTS WHO HE IS-

PURE CINEMA.

There is smth enormously dispiriting seeing the race to save the submersible separated in the nyt headlines listing by barely a sentence from the greek mass migrant drowning scandal

If you feel powerless and demoralised in the face of news like the recent shipwreck, consider donating to reputable search-and-rescue charities like SOS Mediterranee, which operates two rescue ships to help prevent needless loss of life among migrants making the dangerous journey across the Mediterranean

These organisations are not a complete solution to the political problem of the migrant crisis in Europe, but they are a way of ensuring your money is spent on saving lives

the oceangate situation is really funny but i do want to take a moment to look at the fact that five people of their own volition decide to go two miles under the sea in something controlled by a $30 xbox controller with no beacon or way to navigate, go missing, and immediately a massive search effort is underway with people anxiously combing the ocean for any sign of these chucklefucks, but the greek coast guard capsized a boat full of hundreds of migrants, killing 80 with over 500 people still counted as missing, and the eu won't even investigate

you can and should hate rich people, but you also need to show up for the oppressed

one of the last things miles ever said to his uncle was begging uncle aaron not to hurt him. “please, uncle aaron.” and aaron stops. he backs away, protecting his nephew, and he’s killed for it.

and then on earth-42, miles gets him back. just for a moment. he hugs him and tears up and he can’t believe that aaron is here with him. but it can’t last. because it’s not his uncle and he’s tied up to the punching bag and he’s begging uncle aaron not to hurt him. again.
