had an ~incredible~ dream last night y'all i dreamt that in the very short aftermath of the War of the Ring Gimli and Legolas find a wee baby orphan and decide to raise her together--what's hilarious is i don't even recall them being particularly romantic ship-wise with each other (esp in the beginning) it was more the dynamic of two golfing buddies finding a baby amongst their golfing equipment and being like
"I guess we're co-parenting our new daughter now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯"

Okay, so I have Romance in Rivendell to make some more pages for (don't worry!! i've scheduled working on the next two pages this afternoon!), (and A Dance also technically needs to be updated soon), but I've been itching to start another more... Lord of the Rings era focused fancomic and wanted to know y'all's preference,,
so, if i were to start a third tolkien fancomic, should it be
- About a girl who falls into Middle Earth and ends up living the not-very-mundane but at the same time not very magical or "adventurous" life of a maid in a bakery in Minas Tirith some time after the events of the war of the ring, where the focus of the comic would be the daily lives of the average person in Minas Tirith? Very slice of life this one, has a VERY (so much so you gotta squint) slow burn romance plot with the main characters but mostly focuses on romantic subplots of side/minor characters, as far as romance goes. BARELY features ANY canon characters btw, except maybe some hobbits who of course are gonna visit a bakery, but this is not a Cinderella story. Female Lead/Main Character does NOT go to any balls (except maybe to deliver some pastries etc) and like i said, this is about the average life of the average minis tirith dweller during a peaceful (as far as wars go) time period of Gondor.
- A retelling of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, retold as if a princess of Dale attended the Council of Elrond and joined the Fellowship? A 10th walker fic. Not much romance, more a found family and "Bro-ship" kind of fic haha. Might have some romance shoe horned in at the end in a "What if/possibility" kind of situation but overall is lacking majorly in the romantic plot department some people might not like in favor of friendship and action/plot.
- A modern Post-War of the Ring comic focusing on Eomer and Lothiriel but also heavily featuring Faramir and Eowyn (with relevant other major characters featured as well)

aka i've finally succumbed to drawing one of my most self indulgent oc's lol 😅, the youngest child and only daughter of Feanor and Nerdanel. Born many years after Amros and Amrod, she was a surprise baby (if elves can even have surprise pregnancies idk) and is considerably younger than her 7 older brothers. She is also not coincidentally the absolute apple of they and her father's eye. She has them all completely wrapped around her little finger (nerdanel being the only one capable of reigning her in lol, which results in Nerd having to be the disciplinary parent here haha)
anyway--i have lots of arts/ideas to draw for her and especially her interacting with her brothers/family and big cousins :)
