Ibn Rajab al Hanbali (may Allah have mercy on him) said:

“Whoever is mindful of Allaah when he is young and strong, Allaah will take care of him when he is old and has become weak, and will bless him with good hearing, eyesight, strength and intellect..."

Give it a Try

Life might be better if you try the following:

1. Let go of the past

2. Do stuff (instead of just thinking or talking about it)

3. Don’t let other people bother you

4. Make the effort to stay in touch (especially with those who mean a lot to you)

5. Allow yourself to make mistakes, and fail

6. Accept that things going wrong from time to time

7. Decide not to take things personally

8. Think about how you want to be remembered

9. Give without expecting something in return

10. Choose to be silly, to have fun, and to laugh

11. Value your friends, and always treat them well

12. Recognize that everything eventually ends, and loss is an integral part of life.

“What you’re supposed to do when you don’t like a thing is change it. If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it. Don’t complain.”

Friends are like Trees 🌳

My good friend Kier gave me this advice awhile back, and it's helped me immensely to cope with my abandonment issues. I took the time to make this quick little comic in hopes that this advice will help others as it helped me. 🖤

(reposting from my Twitter because I feel it would be appreciated here haha)

My dream is to be the first to introduce Dead Poets Society to someone because this movie is worth THAT much. It’s not a story, it’s a legacy.

i’ve successfully done this about 8 or 9 times and it’s so fun to see it stick with them. one of my friends found that she loves poetry, one of them now lives by the phrase “carpe diem” and my bond with some of them has grown. if you ever are able to, definitely try and drag someone into the fandom.

“If there is life in your bones, allow it to seep into everything you love. Fill yourself to the brim, but do not stop there. Overflow with honey and light. Let the ripples of your sweetness reach every angle of your universe until those around you feel their hands again. The world is too cold. Do all you can to make it glow.”
