this is why we need to contextualize the LA riots. korea town didnt get busted up for no reason. theres nuances in this, but the portrayal of korea towns destruction as being unwarranted and at the hands of a bunch of unruly negros who didnt know the right race to attack is a fucking mess.
We had to read this in law school and it was enraging and really created a divide in our class.
That’s why when I say “Black Lives Matter” I’m not just talking to white people, I’m talking to ALL the non-black “people of color” too.
Sis would’ve been 45 this year. The bitch who assaulted the 15 year old before shooting her in the back of her head as she was LEAVING was 51, from what I’ve read she’s gotten to live a long life… guess she slept well knowing she got away with executing a Black child. Soon Ja Du is no different from George Zimmerman who got away with killing Trayvon Martin 20+ years after Latasha Harlin’s murder… Black lives weren’t even worth a bag of skittles or bottle of juice to them.
