Is this the single-most adorable Holmes face moment? Feel free to add your favourite moments below! :)
I warned you, don’t get involved. Involved? I’m not involved.

It’s mad. I think he might be mad. He was certainly arrogant and really quite rude and he looks about 12 and he’s clearly a bit public school and, yes, I definitely think he might be mad but he was also strangely likeable. He was charming. It really was all just a bit strange.
So tomorrow, we’re off to look at a flat. Me and the madman. Me and Sherlock Holmes.

INTIMATE
EXCUSE ME IS HIS HAND SHAKING OMG
BRB LOOKING AT THIS GIF FOR MY ENTIRE LIFE
And meta, and gifs, and everything else the creative people from the fandom make!
I will continue to scream the following:
Mary could have been used to show that your entire purpose in life doesn’t have to be to settle down, find yourself a good man, get married, and have his child. She did not have to desperately crave a normal life.
Molly could have been used to show a woman who fell in love with a man who didn’t love her back, who pined, and then simply got tired of consistently being used and degraded and properly moved on. She did not need to constantly chase after a man who was in no way good for her.
Irene could have been used to show a woman and a man simply enjoying each other’s company - no sex, no romance - simply two people matching wits and smirking about it and just enjoying the game. She did not need to be the unavailable sex object - I mean, lesbian - that eventually gets seduced by the right man.
Eurus could have just not been a thing at all.
All true & all infuriating
the thing that really fucks me up about martin freeman is he casually displays the confidence of a man who knows he could absolutely destroy you sexually and therefore i have no choice but to believe that this is true
reblog if you will always ship johnlock no matter what
🌈height✅difference 🌻between Sherlock and John 🔝while hugging👏
So I’ve heard Moffat, when asked by a fan about where the relationship between John and Sherlock would go, said that they just go on solving crimes together, and that the fan should go and read the books.
Well, I’ve read the books. Over and over. Let me quote from memory just a few examples of where the relationship between Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John H. Watson went. In the books.
Sherlock Holmes:
- wines and dines Holmes regularly
- during one of the lunches they had together, he chats him up freely and on various topics (not about crime solving, ya know)
- takes him out to concerts, one of them being no less than Tchaikovsky’s performance in London
- goes for long walks in the park with him, during which they are so comfortable with each other, they don’t even have the need to talk
- plays his violin upon Watson’s request
- shares Turkish baths with him regularly
- and, well, nearly kills the bad guy for shooting Watson in the leg (and openly threatens to kill him had Watson been seriously harmed)
Dr. John Watson:
- drops everything and rushes across Europe to take care of Holmes as the latter is having a nervous breakdown
- in doing so, covers the distance between England and France in 24 hours, which is not a small feat, considering the slow-ish state of Victorian transportation
- takes mentally exhausted Holmes out to the country to recuperate, not once but at least twice
- cares deeply about his well-being, especially his drug use and mental health
- shares Turkish baths with him regularly
- saves Holmes’ life, when both get under the influence of a deadly hallucinogenic drug
I don’t know about you, but to me, this goes on beyond solving crimes together.
I don’t remember Watson ever physically assaulting Holmes or marrying an assassin, or forgiving the assassin that shot Holmes, either…
Things that are not in the Canon:
- Holmes and Adler having a sexual/romantic interest in each other (Irene Adler marries another man and lives happily with him);
- A third/fourth Homles brother or sister;
- Mary Morstan being an assassin;
- Watson and Morstan having children (never mentioned in the canon so, to me, they didn’t have any);
- Holmes killing someone.
So, if Moffat would kindly stop to quote the Canon only when it suits him, it would be much appreciated.
is everyone ready to get punched in the face by god on sunday
*Police force bursting into the aquarium, Mary bleeding to death on the floor, John scream-grunting over her lifeless body, Sherlock on the verge of tears*
The fish in the aquarium:

Hell, Norway
I usually don’t do giant posts about theories and whatnot but I decided to share this little snippet.
So during “Mary’s” travel montage, she passes through Norway, where she then finds the fake passport. In the Norway scene, there’s a lot of boats and water in the background, as well as the rocky hills.
Then, at the end of the episode, we’re surprised with this clip:
She doesn’t seem to be saying that in a mean tone in my opinion.
She could be saying go to Hell, as in a place called “Hell”…
Now where would we find a place called hell? what does that even mean?
Ah yes, of course, Hell, Norway
Hell, Norway is also conveniently beside water where boats are able to easily come and go. Could that be where she’s trying to lead Sherlock to? Perhaps.
It’s also slightly rumored that in the Final Problem “Holmes and Watson travel to Europe to escape Moriarty’s vengeance.”
Is she leading them to a trap? Who knows.
(shoutout to @wait-what-oops for helping me come up with this)
