The Lavender Haze video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze. There is my incredible costar Laith Ashley who I absolutely adored working with. This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released, and this one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70’s fever dream. yeah yeah catcher in the rye is annoying or whatever but those repeated scenes of holden standing in the phone booth thinking through all the people he could call, before stepping back out without calling because he couldn’t think of anyone who he thought would want to talk to him. yeah that hits.
I like to fuck around and waste time for at least ~6-10 hours per day, and let me tell you, that really puts some pressure on your schedule. you have no idea how busy I am

Olivia Rodrigo @ THIIIRD Magazine: I feel really lucky and privileged because the projects that I work on are generally geared towards younger kids, and I think that they’re really special—particularly for younger kids to be able to see themselves on screen. And I think that’s something that High School Musical: The Musical: The Series did a really great job of. They really represent a diverse group of kids who come from different backgrounds, and have different sexual orientations and different ethnic makeup. So I think that’s a really lovely thing and I feel really lucky to have done projects that are like that.
