A spokesperson for Camera told the Telegraph: “During the Oct 7 massacre, Ms Harb celebrated the events in a series of social media posts which have since been deleted.

“Celebrating the largest slaughter of Jewish civilians in many decades befits neither newspapers nor journalists; it damages the Washington Post's reputation in particular, and proves that Ms.”

They added that Ms Harb should not be given the same “privileges” that are normally given to other journalists abroad or in the UK.

In response to the claims, supporters of Ms Harb have said that her social media posts have been taken the wrong way and that their meaning is not reflected truthfully in the translation from Arabic to English.

In a statement in response to the claims, the Home Office reaffirmed that there was no place for extremism in the UK, but they could not comment on the allegations.

They explained: “It is long-standing government policy that we do not routinely comment on individual cases. We are clear that extremism has no place in our society.” In a statement, a spokesperson for the Washington Post said: "The Post has learned of claims against its contributor Hajar Harb involving alleged social media posts. Hajar has denied these actions to The Post and has said that imposters have previously created social media accounts using her name and photos of her. The Post is investigating the matter.”

A spokesperson for Camera told the Express: "Ms Harb and her supporters are now making conflicting claims. On one hand, they falsely allege that our Arabic-speaking staff’s translations don’t faithfully reflect the true meaning of her Arabic tweets.

"On the other, they claim those same tweets weren’t written by her but rather by imposters. These incoherent explanations are nearly as absurd as her support for October 7. The fact is, she did tweet those cruel comments and our translations are accurate.

FIRST OPERATIONAL INTERCEPTION BY THE "C-DOME" DEFENSE SYSTEM FROM A SA'AR 6-CLASS CORVETTE

Overnight, for the first time ever, an IDF Sa'ar 6-class corvette missile ship successfully intercepted a UAV that had approached from the east and had crossed into the area of the Gulf of Eilat.

IDF troops in the area operated in cooperation with the IAF Aerial Control Unit and the Sa'ar 6-class corvette.

In accordance with the situational assessment since the beginning of the war, IDF missile boats including Sa'ar 6-class corvettes were positioned in the Red Sea.

The Israeli Navy is deployed in the area of the Red Sea and has both the defensive and offensive capabilities to engage with regional threats.

The White House condemned protesters who were caught on video at an Al-Quds Day rally in Dearborn, Michigan, chanting “death to America,” in a Monday statement to the Daily Caller. The chants broke out after one activist, Tarek Bazzi, spoke at the event about past criticism the Al-Quds Day rallies have received for being “anti-America.” Bazzi then went on to add that America was one of the “rottenest countries” to ever exist in the world. The White House reacted to the anti-American language in a Monday statement to the Daily Caller. “The White House condemns these abhorrent and Antisemitic remarks in the strongest terms. As President Biden has said, America is the greatest nation on Earth and a beacon to the world,” Andrew Bates, a White House spokesperson, told the Daily Caller.

Meanwhile, "The White House" stabbed Israel in the back in order to pander to these Hamas supporters and buy their votes.

🔻ALERTS..  ROCKETS from SYRIA at Yonatan, Golan.

🟠 CEASEFIRE TALKS..

Hamas - REJECTS deal.

Hamas - says in talks in Egypt to mediators: “no ability to release 40 abductees as part of the humanitarian deal and insists on other numbers - less than those compiled in Israel.”  ( Interpretation, NO ABILITY TO RELEASE 40 LIVE HOSTAGES because? Not alive? G-d forbid. )

Senior official: There will be no ceasefire on Eid al-Fitr as part of the negotiations as proposed by the Americans.

Al Jazeera - Hamas source, “The Israeli answer we received does not include a permanent ceasefire and does not include the withdrawal of (all) Israeli forces from the Strip.”

▪️REVERSE DEMONSTRATION.. demonstration by residents at the Sderot intersection in which they called for the realization of the goals of the war before leaving Gaza. "Where are the prime minister and his ministers, the members of the war cabinet, the expanded and the reduced, who will present to the public the results of the overwhelming victory that justifies the significant reduction in the order of forces in the Gaza Strip and the end of the maneuver phase? Prime Minister - don't stop,"

It is understandable that Jewish groups want to avoid confrontations with their opponents out of fear of potential violence and because they believe that their influence is best employed in the corridors of power. But by effectively abandoning the public square to antisemites, the Jewish community has not only encouraged those screaming for violence against Jews, especially Israelis but has also created a dynamic whereby it seems as if there is only one side to the argument about whether a war against a genocidal terrorist group is justified.

Equally important, the lack of public clamor on behalf of Israel and against the pro-Hamas ceasefire advocates has sent the message to the administration that there is only one side in the debate about the war that they should listen to or fear.

This was made abundantly clear early in the Democratic primaries when Biden showed that he was far more interested in appeasing pro-Hamas voters in Dearborn, Mich., than those who advocate for Israel. In the last two months, even after Biden secured the Democratic presidential nomination, he has continued to go out of his way to avoid antagonizing Israel-haters.

Perhaps he’s right to believe that Jewish Democrats dislike former President Donald Trump too much to consider defecting from their party. Or that they are more concerned about abortion than about defending the Jewish state. But at a time when antisemitism—and the demonization of Israel and its supporters—is escalating, perhaps it’s time for even those who intend to vote for Biden to start showing up at his rallies and speak up about the administration’s abandoning Israel. Jewish Democrats need to say that they expect Biden to stand by Israel in its just war, not to threaten it.

If Biden was made to see, as he should, that there are more votes to be lost in the political center from Americans who back Israel and don’t believe the blood libels being thrown at it, then he might understand that there is a greater political price to be paid for kowtowing to antisemites than for keeping faith with the Jewish state.

Beyond that, Jewish groups around the nation also need to understand that their mission must also include efforts to reclaim the streets.

Teaneck shows the way

A great example of a community that understood what was at stake was on display this past week in Teaneck, N.J. A month ago, an Israel real estate fair at a synagogue in that New York suburb was threatened by an antisemitic mob, egged on by Internet lies about the event. But when another pro-Israel event at a synagogue—this time honoring ZAKA volunteers charged with the gruesome task of handling corpses from the Hamas pogroms—was similarly threatened, the Jews didn’t simply depend on law enforcement to protect them. Neither did they, as sometimes happens elsewhere, cancel the event due to justified fears of violence. Instead, they organized a counterprotest that outnumbered those who were bussed into that town to vent their hatred.

The effort reflected a consensus in that community that, in the words of a spokesman for the Rabbinical Council of Bergen County, “these attacks on our synagogues have to end. Full stop.”

This example needs to be emulated everywhere. Synagogues and other Jewish institutions have been targeted by vandals and antisemitic protests from those seeking to eradicate Israel “from the river to the sea,” falsely accusing Israel of “genocide” while ignoring or even denying Hamas crimes. Yet ever fearful of what a confrontation might lead to, Jewish groups don’t turn out to demonstrate that the streets don’t belong to the hatemongers and their allies. And that needs to change.

Beset by doubts about their place in a society that has embraced woke intersectional myths that marginalize Jews and browbeaten into thinking that the cause of Israel is too controversial to be compatible with a comfortable American life, too many leaders have gone silent at a moment of crisis when they need to speak up loudly that they will not be intimidated or taken for granted by politicians like Biden. They need to understand that even though support for Israel can seem a very lonely, unfashionable position, most Americans stand behind the Jewish state.

Jews need to stop cowering and start protesting. If they don’t, they’ll soon see that the antisemites will only grow bolder in their affronts to Jewish sensibilities—and political leaders will continue to believe that they need not fear losing their support.

The body of an Israeli hostage has been recovered in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Saturday.

Elad Katzir was first abducted in the Oct. 7 Hamas terrorist attack, which claimed roughly 1,200 lives, by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad group along with his mother, Hanna, according to the IDF. The IDF announced that the hostage’s body was discovered overnight in Khan Yunis, a major urban area in the Gaza Strip, and returned to Israeli territory.

“According to intelligence, Elad was murdered by IJ in captivity,” the IDF said in a statement. “Our mission since the beginning of the war has been, and remains, to locate and bring the hostages home. We will continue to operate until it is complete.”

Katzir’s mother was released in late November, while his father, Avraham, was killed in Israel during Hamas’ initial attack, according to the IDF. (RELATED: American-Israeli Captive In Gaza Announced Dead, Family Maintains Calls For Immediate Hostage Deal)

The hostage had been seen alive in two propaganda videos published by the Islamic Jihad group in December and January, according to The Times Of Israel.

Katzir’s sister, Carmit, slammed the Israeli government in a Facebook post following the discovery of her brother’s body.

“He could have been saved, if a deal had been reached in time. Our leadership is cowardly and motivated by political considerations, and that it why that didn’t happen,” Carmit Palty Katzir wrote. “He was abandoned on October 7, and was then abandoned for 183 days during which he could have been brought back home alive.”

Katzir’s discovery comes as thousands of protesters have taken to the streets in Tel Aviv to call for elections to replace Israeli government officials and to negotiate a hostage release with Hamas, according to The Washington Post.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu responded to such calls on Sunday, arguing that an election would “paralyze Israel for at least half a year” and would be celebrated by Hamas.

“The pain of the families of the hostages breaks my heart; I think it breaks all of our hearts,” said Netanyahu. “Anyone who says that I’m not doing everything to bring back our hostages is wrong and is misleading others.”

🔻ALERTS.. (none since last night)

🟠 CEASEFIRE TALKS..

Senior Egyptian official: The delegations will return to Cairo in two days to conclude the terms of the final deal.  A Hamas delegation has arrived in Cairo and met with the Egyptian intelligence chief.

(Amit Segal comments..) If the report is true, dramatic days are ahead of us - Rafah now or a deal now.

(The Arab Desk comments..) The IDF forces left the strip, only one brigade remained there, basically there is no fighting, no forces. Quite suitable for the demands of Hamas, Eid al-Fitr will start tomorrow or Wednesday depending on where you live, a race against the clock has begun to reach an agreement under constant American pressure to drive the move that seems to be the last chance.

(United States State Dept told N12) "We understand that more framework lines for the deal are being formed from the talks, including the number of Palestinian prisoners who will be released in exchange for the abductees - but there is nothing that can be declared at this stage."

(Egyptian Intelligence) "Hamas emphasized its adherence to its natural national demands and its desire to reach an agreement that would achieve a complete cessation of hostilities, the withdrawal of IDF forces from the Gaza Strip, and the free return of the displaced to their regions and places of residence.

Hamas demands "assistance, the beginning of the rehabilitation of the Strip and the 'completion of a mutual prisoner exchange deal' - of the release of Palestinian prisoners, in exchange for the release of Israeli hostages held by Hamas and the 'resistance' in Gaza."

(OUR commentary) The “return of the displaced” is about Hamas fighters being able to re-distribute across Gaza and re-control the population.  And second, “rehabilitate”, they are literally demanding Gaza be rebuilt for them (before returning all the hostages) - meaning NO COST FOR THEM FOR THE WAR.

(Senior Israeli Officials) “We still don’t see a deal on the horizon,” an official tells Ynet. “The distance [between the sides] is still great and there has been nothing dramatic so far.”

▪️MILITARY EXERCISE IN THE NORTH.. a military exercise will take place in the northern coastal strip and in the western Galilee area, in which a lively movement of vessels, aircraft and security forces will be felt in the area.  IT’S A DRILL.

▪️JENIN - SAMARIA.. heavy gunfire towards the Dotan checkpoint and Salem crossing west of Jenin.

▪️SHIA MILITIAS OF IRAQ.. claim to have attacked the Golan via suicide drone.
