Nope. Everyone has a right to defend themselves. What is going on here when someone gets shut down for saying something along these lines is that they are stereotyping instead of facing the real problem. It is almost like saying "not all mothers abuse their children", despite the fact that mothers are more likely than fathers to be abusive.

You know something’s wrong when even these people admit it’s messed up

So, I saw this in the newspaper this morning.

What I love about this film so much is how diverse the cast is and how an audience member, any audience member, is gonna be able to relate to a character in some way; whether it’s age, whether it’s personality. I think that’s kinda what’s been missing from films and that’s what Big Hero 6 touches on. Every single person, I think every single person, in the United States or even around the world that’s gonna see Big Hero 6 is gonna be able to see a character in the film and go, “Hey, I see myself in that.” And they’re gonna be able to relate to it that much more.

There is a profound difference between standing for what is right, and just flat-out becoming the bully you always wanted to be.  There is a right way and a wrong way to promote equality between all human beings.

Notice how this person somehow keeps magically stumbling upon posts that are neither directed at them, nor are tagged with anything they’d be searching for.

But no - we’re the ones who are “obsessed” and “harassing” people.  Do you even think before you post, child?  Also, WOW…are you STILL holding a grudge?  Jesus fucking christ…  This is seriously a perfect example of exactly the type of person that has turned “tumblr” into a dirty word. 

Regardless, cvl brought up a fair point. Many dismiss the “women are…” google search suggestions imagery because they’re based on the searcher’s browsing history. What makes this different from that, anyway?

It has nothing to do with gender.  Tumblr is a website:  It is not an individual person, a type of person, or one, specific group of people.  There aren’t expectations inflicted upon it by society to look or act a certain way.

Also, if you open up a “private” window (i.e., one not going by or adding to a person’s search history), the first result that comes up is still “tumblr is bad”. 

This is a negative association with a place.  To top it off, there are constantly users posting about being afraid to express their opinions on their own blog without being insulted for it, or worse.  How many people have been doxxed just for having a different opinion on this site?  How many more have to end up being doxxed for people to wake up, and smell the fucking coffee?

People complaining due to their own lack of understanding about other human beings based on gender and people complaining about how hostile an environment is for the average user are two very different things.

Seriously For a website that hates emotional abuse so much you seriously love to make men feel ashamed of being men, telling them they are ugly, that they do not deserve love and that all of them are stupid. You fucking suck.

The true irony here is that Tumblr aka “PROTECT ALL QUEER AND POC PEOPLE” activists put a queer woman helping immigrants out of a job.
