*The literally “Constitution” of the Confederacy says that the point of their nation is slavery.  Don’t listen to people who say its about states rights.

*A lot of Republicans switched from being Democrats bc of the integrated military, the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts because they didn’t want to vote in the same party as black people. The literal founding of their party is racism.

Omg my heart

I hate to be that person but this is horrifically dangerous. This is how babies get mauled. This isn’t about this dog being a pit bull (it actually isn’t, by the way). This is something you should never do with any dog regardless of breed. There are so many ways this could end tragically even without the dog attacking the baby, too. Imagine somebody rings the doorbell and the dog jumps up, knocking the baby onto the floor. I don’t really have the time or energy to really get into why this is so bad and I’m not really good with words in the first place, but maybe these blogs may want to step in and explain for me. @doberbutts @why-animals-do-the-thing @responsiblepitbulladvocates

Thank you for tagging! I will try my best here to help you out… but I don’t think a lot of readers are going to like all of what I have to say about this.

First off, it is so disturbing the number of reblogs & comments on this video by people who actually find it cute & heartwarming, and otherwise see absolutely nothing at all wrong here… 

This is an “accident”, a bite, attack or lethal mauling just waiting to happen, and that is not at all “cute”, it is not something to “awwww” at. This is just so incredibly irresponsible, reckless & just plain stupid for a parent to do something so dangerous like this, basically risking their child’s life, and for what, this super cute awwwww video?

It doesn’t matter if your dog is a Standard Poodle, a Great Dane, a Beagle, a Labrador Retriever, or a Pit Bull / APBT (which is NOT what this dog is); the fact is, all dogs bite and are capable of biting / attacking / mauling. And I do not care how super duper nice, friendly, sweet & cuddly the dog is, or that the dog “wouldn’t hurt a fly” and has no history of biting or behaving aggressively – there is always a first for something.

And in this case, the first could easily be a severely injured or fatally wounded toddler, followed by the confiscation of a dog by animal control that declares said dog dangerous which may ultimately lead to the euthanasia of said dog whose owners put him/her in this situation in the first place, which lead to the attack on the child; and then maybe the parents could face being arrested & charged for child endangerment, and if the child’s injuries are fatal then perhaps even involuntary manslaughter as well.

And in this video, what I see is parents endangering the child & potentially risking the child’s life, and so if another interaction like this with the toddler lying on the dog’s chest were to end in a bite, attack or fatal mauling, I wonder if this video could quite possibly aid in the prosecution of the parents.

Children are the most common victims of dog bites & attacks, most often due to parents not teaching their children how to interact with or behave properly around dogs, and children being left alone, unsupervised with dogs. And it is most often the family dog that attacks, a dog that attacked “out of nowhere”, “for no reason”, a dog that otherwise had no history of exhibiting aggressive behavior.

Even if the dog quickly jumps up with the toddler lying on its chest, perhaps from hearing a noise or the doorbell, and that quick movement sends the toddler falling to the floor, hitting his/her head, breaking an arm, etc.

And not to mention how calling this dog a Pit Bull (original poster tagged the video with “pitbull”) is harmful to the APBT breed especially if the dog really does attacks the child, the parents call 911, police are dispatched to the scene and AC comes to confiscate the dog, all the while once the media gets a whiff of the story, they report right away about a loving family pibble that suddenly snapped, attacking the toddler out of nowhere & without any warning as said by the parents. And that’ll be chalked up as just another Pit Bull attack.

I do not mean to be so harsh, but this is very serious, and the parents should be ashamed of themselves for putting their child’s safety, well being and very life at risk like this, because that is exactly what they are doing here.

This video is not cute, so people, please stop liking this post and more importantly, please stop reblogging it in a positive light.
