hard for me to make thoughts coherent especially when upset. be patient and I will clarify if I can! this is mainly a positivity blog so I try to tag rant posts or angry posts with violence with the tag #upset upset so if you don't want to see that you can block it.

fuck captions skipping swears, writing them as “____” (looking at you youtube auto captions) and other censorings.

fuck you fuck you fuck you I don’t want to play a guessing game of which swear goes there just bc I need the captions clicking the little cc button doesn’t mean I need things censored for me I am a full ass adult captions are for reading what is being said fuck you if you censor it if people can hear a word people can read it too

actually this just in, you’ll spontaneously combust if you read or type a swear word, but not if you hear or say it!

if anybody disapproves of the wga and sag-aftra strikes or is upset there won’t be new content here’s what you can do:

go to disney+
find newsies (the broadway cast recording)
watch it
learn empathy for the overworked underpaid strikers who just want an economically supportive working environment
note that the rich guys in charge of corporations who will do anything to get a bit richer are the villains
note that the rich guys who are the villains have no empathy for the overworked underpaid strikers or the people on the receiving end of the corporation’s service because all they care about is the money
note that the rich guys can drag the strike on indefinitely even though it costs them money in the short term because it hurts the overworked underpaid strikers more
watch it on repeat if you are still upset and/or want more content until the message soaks in
support the writers and actors who are striking so they get their demands met and then the strike will be over

(I was drawing a comparison between a popular piece of media, ironically on a service where the ceo is anti-strike, and the current strikers. it’s not that deep.)

(also newsies is not my favorite show but I did just finish acting in a run of newsies so forgive me that it’s on my mind.)

(also also the unions have not called for a boycott of any media. keep watching things to keep demand up! more we use services, the more pressure execs have to meet the unions’ demands.)

sort of interesting how I was taught such a slim definition of what is disability, considering everyone in my immediate family is disabled.

makes me wonder, what if we had talked about disability more? what if we had talked about annoying doctors and people who refuse to make accommodations?

why do I have to constantly justify my existence?

why does society push me into this tiny little box of oppression and injustice and if I don’t fight it I don’t get anything?

I am proud of my identity, my intersectionality. but it lands me in a very marginalized category.

I am everything they hate and I am tired.

allies stand with us. please. you don’t have to have experienced our oppression to fight alongside us.
