I spend hours just staring at my cuts/scars, analysing them, each individual line. I hate them but I make more when they fade. They cause me no end of awkward situations and anxiety but I don’t regret them. I ponder as to what people would say/do if I walked round with them uncovered but I’ll never have that question answered because I’ve been imprisoned in long sleeves for a long time now. I hate them because they’re pathetic and a badge of someone who is ‘attention seeking’. I’m automatically an ‘emo’ and a ‘freak’ because I ‘slit my wrists’. But it’s so much more than ‘slitting my wrists’. I’m physically taking a blade and slicing my skin as a learnt behavior to deal with any and every emotion that I feel. Like an alcoholic reaches for the bottle, I reach for anything that’ll leave a red line on my skin. I hate what and who I’ve become but then again, I’m not even sure who that is? I am not proud of what I’m doing and I have done everything in my power to stop others from starting or continuing to self harm. But I would be lying if I said I want to stop because I don’t, I can’t, I won’t…

Ke$ha is a perfect example of how the media loves to make intelligent girls seem dumb and bitchy even though they are actually smart and caring. Ke$ha isn’t far from being a feminist icon but the media continues to label her as a dumb drunk party girl.

and Ke$ha is all for loving yourself and equality but she continues to receive harassment from mainstream media. Enough harassment to the point that she developed an eating disorder because of it. She is an example of how horrible and sexist the music industry is.
