2016, boy what a year It can’t get any worse, don’t have a fear With Hillary and Trump neck in neck And so many shootings, what the heck? Everything’s red Harambe is dead. The world’s fighting terror We did Brexit in error. No longer Ebola we fear But Zika fear is here. Kim Kardashian was robbed No one has jobs Brangelia split The world’s gone to shit Flint still has no water Each other we slaughter Prince and Bowie are weeped for We’re all invested in a silly war Christina grimmie dead by gunshot And the UK got too hot What could be worse, in this fear riddled town? Oh, I know, let’s throw in some clowns.

2016, you better not fuck up the last three months.

An unfortunate reality is there are people in this world who don’t have the emotional capacity to understand what people like you and me go through. They don’t understand what panic attacks are. They think that depression can be cured simply by “not thinking about it”. They don’t think your emotional situation is as real as a broken bone… but it is and so are you. For whatever you are going through, you will be okay. :))

Small Ways To Improve Your Life

  • make your bed to immediately make your room look more put together
  • water first, then coffee or tea
  • pray or meditate, even just for ten minutes, to set the tone for your day
  • browse the news headlines ( & read the articles that interest you when you’ve got time)
  • wear something you feel b o m b in
  • listen to music while doing your daily activities-commuting, cleaning, cooking, exercising
  • smile at at least two people
  • smile at YOURSELF
  • call or message someone you love
  • eat food that makes you feel radiant
  • make lists of things you need to accomplish for the day
  • stretch for 10 minutes
  • record in your phone the positive thoughts you have so you can remember them
  • carry water with you (always always always)
  • shut off your phone for an hour and have some ME time
  • take a hot shower or bath at the end of a stressful day
  • try to make plans to spend time with someone at least once a week
  • think about 3 things you are grateful for at the end of each day
  • do something calming, relaxing, and non-electronic 30 minutes before you sleep
  • sleep pants-less

things that make me feel better about myself that I think a lot of people forget

those little things on ur nose aren’t blackheads, don’t try and get rid of them they’re sebaceous filaments and they’re permanent and literally everyone has them

every girl has that little pouch of fat on her lower tummy, despite what magazines try n show u, you have important organs there that need to be protected don’t try and get rid of ur pouch

ur body is smarter than u think and it knows what to do when u eat more than normal. one bad day, or even week, of eating poorly isn’t gonna ruin anything at all I pinky promise

if u think u look good up until u try taking a selfie, it’s not ur fault - our faces are asymmetrical and when u see ur face flipped it will look unnatural to u, since u don’t see it that way when u look in the mirror. to everyone else it looks perfectly fine

no one’s stomach looks the same at 8pm as it does at 8am. no one has a chiseled six pack after a day of eating, not even the super fit people u see on tumblr, because ur stomach naturally expands after eating and expecting to have a flat tummy before bed is very unrealistic

no one notices if the bags under ur eyes are bad today. no one pays attention to the bump in ur nose or the zit on ur chin or the piece of hair that u missed when u were straightening. literally no one notices these things except you so stop worrying about it ur gonna be fine
