Can you explain as to why Dean is a lot more devastated about Cas’ death than losing Mary? I know he’s obviously upset about losing Mary but it’s a bit obvious that losing Cas has made the biggest impact. I know Cas is a big part of Deans life but Mary is his mum and he just got her back after her being dead for years.

The only answer that makes sense is that Dean loves Cas romantically and it is tearing him apart that he never told him and lost him.

The only answer that makes sense is canon Destiel.

That is the whole point! They don’t want to diminish Dean’s love and grief over Mary but at the same time they’re showing Dean’s grief for Cas is just MORE just as his grief for Cas is MORE than Sam’s.

I have seen so much wank aimed at the show from people who don’t see it or just don’t want to see it in the last couple of months and especially since this week because without Destiel the show and Dean’s actions MAKE NO SENSE. I just saw the SPN confessions post that someone was confused why Dean was so “OOC” and overboard with the grief at the moment. I also perused some bibro blogs this morning who are going ape shit.

These actually make me super happy and feel really validated in all our coherent meta (and incoherent flailing) that all this is because DEAN LOVES CAS ROMANTICALLY and he is devastated at his loss in a way others aren’t about Cas so differently to his own grief for his mother.

Literally nothing else makes sense now. They’re making this a plot point.

Not only are some people who just don’t see Destiel confused but the antis are furious, they’re screaming about rage quitting, how nothing makes any sense and Dean is OOC and how dare the writers do this, the writers have never watched the show!! How they don’t understand any of 13x01-03 and 03 went totally the opposite of what they thought it would… 

Because basically if you omit ROMANTIC and DEEP feelings from Dean towards Cas in his grief then //nothing makes sense//.

If you omit Dean grieving Cas like a widower but on top of that how he actually never got to be with him or tell him how he felt, then yeah he seems OOC and “it’s way over the top”.

It also doesn’t make sense how he is acting towards Sam either at this point if you omit the end of the toxic codependency that happened right before this too.

S13 is a plethora of our meta being validated then the outcome USED to further the plot. That’s why it makes sense to us who read this in the first place and not to those who don’t see and angers those who outright denied it to start with.

If you omit Dean’s romantic and deep feelings for Cas in his grief then yes his reaction to Sam is way over the top and terrible for the Dean/Sam relationship. It also makes Sam look like a giant douchebag who doesn’t give a shit about Cas if you think there was nothing deeper than just buddies from Dean.

Because clearly Dean’s feelings for Cas are much more extreme than Sam’s so if Dean’s feelings are just of losing his “tool” then wtf does that mean for SAM?! x

If you omit Dean’s romantic and deep feelings then lots of other things make no sense either. Eg. I’ve seen on one bibro blog complaints that it makes no sense that Jack wakes Cas up at all at this point (unless you think he solely did it for his own protection but lbr they could have done that any manner of better ways, including the most obvious and how the bibros would have preferred, to take Jack and Sam out on the MotW hunt with Dean and for Jack to get attacked by the wraith and thereby need protection, not from Dean, not by making it blatant that Dean is upset at Jack 100% because of CAS).

TL;DR If you ignore the romantic and deep feelings of Dean’s love for Cas then nothing now makes any sense.
