Like what kills me is that this is actually pretty impressive. Working with high hydration dough is difficult on it’s own but at 106%!? And to work it just enough to develop the gluten so it doesn’t collapse while also keeping all the gas is hard. Timing the proof would have also been difficult. Looking at that crust they must have a really good oven set up as well. Hot as hell. Probably done in a preheated dutch oven.

And all in service... of this. The texture of the bread must be terrible. No fluffiness to it, all tough, thin strands of bread. Crust is probably lovely, but a crunchy dark crust is only nice when it covers lovely light, fluffy, soft bread. It’s the contrast of those textures that makes it work. I like an open airy crumb as much as the next bread maker but this is ridiculous.

Do whatever you want! Tumblr is free game. The only reason we DON'T talk in the reblogs is because tumblr USED to notify you every time someone added a text to your reblog and it was like. Annoying. So what people did is write their comments in the tags, where OP wouldn't get notified about it. But now it doesn't have to! So it's basically fine to do it.

Posts also used to indent with every new addition so they'd become totally unreadable after about 10 of them, but that was also changed. And an automatic "read more" button was added to long posts on your dash. Having to scroll for a super long time to get past a post with a lot of additions used to be a pain and a reason to not add text in the reblogs (certain posts that had extremely long images that forced you to scroll a long time were a popular form of prank and are still heavily referenced even though they can be more easily skipped now), but that's more or less fixed now, too. On the whole, people tend to add things in the notes for their specific followers or only appear on their blog. Things the original poster and other people might not know or care about but their own followers will. Whereas you add text in the reblog itself if you have something more relevant to add that you want to last more than one reblog. So, for example, on a post like "I'm always so unprepared when I travel", someone might add a tag like "omg like my lakehouse trip" or "my oc is like this" or just "same". Little stuff that they don't necessarily want to be added to the main post, but can be seen if you look through the notes and seen by the reblogger's followers. But someone adding like "Hey here's some tips on traveling for people who are bad at planning for trips!" would likely add it in a reblog, because that's something they want to be on more than just their own blog.

But, on the whole, it's more of a matter of personal preference and habits from days gone by than an official "etiquette". As long as you aren't harassing people or adding spam or reposting without permission, go nuts. It's a free-for-all.
