it's too dark to show him off properly, but i finished (will i ever be truly finished?) this goofy goober, the Beast of Silly! a project that i also began last year and never managed to finish.
i started this project to get rid of all the colorful felt i had accumulated and never used.. of course i managed to acquire way more while working on it orz

picked it back up this january and became obsessed with the beast
obsessed (see also the illuminated manuscript inspired drawings i did featuring the beast)
^ the beast this morning getting his eyes installed (also handmade)
finished beast! i don't think the scale of him comes across very well, but he is also a weird shape. i'll try getting him mounted on a wooden plaque so i can hang him on my wall. overall very happy and enamored with him. i need to get some pictures of him in natural lighting but that will have to wait for now :)

yaaaay yearly art summary! feel pretty good about this year, i did a lot of traveling that prevented me from drawing, but i still feel satisfied with the direction my drawings have taken recently. also funny seeing the dedication to my ocs that started around the time i started reading bram stoker's dracula lmao

HII!!! tysm!!!! im so glad you like it and that you feel that way! the way i look at it, im not a brand or a show. drawing to me is not a style but an activity i do, and it is influenced heavily by the brushes, tones, themes, interests, and characters i draw! drawing on paper is easier and looser and looks different to my digital stuff and my preference often shifts ^__^ also, maintaining a consistent style takes effort, and i, more often than not, have to semi-force myself to draw, so anything that will make drawing less fun is automatically not even on my radar lol
