more mike opinions. mike saying that they werent being careful with els powers and that max needed to consider els limits was absolutely true and not mike being controlling, and the framing of mike being misogynistic or a bad partner in that scene is like….. ludicrous lmao. max, will, nancy, and jonathan dont know that els powers have a limit, but mike (and lucas) have seen firsthand that el can overexert the use of her powers to a very dangerous point, and that el is a deeply self sacrificing person who wouldnt hesitate to inflict harm on herself to help others. max fighting with mike about who’s “setting els limits” was framed as this #winforfeminism moment, but it falls flat because max truly doesnt know that els powers hurt her and could potentially kill her. mike does have that information
