Winter in the Netherlands: frosty mornings and winter swims | Slow living vlog  

I hope everyone had a wonderful winter! Here’s some snippets of mine, including natural ice skating in a ditch, pastel pink sunrise skies, testing out an old GoPro camera and some frosty magical moments.

Let me tell you about an important reason as to how we came to housesit in this beautiful place. I hope it might serve you in your life too.

November: daily life in a rural area in the Netherlands | phone vlog

Something different. In November I filmed hardly anything, except with my phone. So I thought it would be a fun challenge and good exercise to create a video using videos I took with my phone.

I cheated a bit and also used a few shots I took with my camera, but over 80% is filmed with my smartphone.

Here’s some scenes from last month, like finding new places to swim, cycling around on the island, visiting an old mill and gardening in our kitchen garden - all of those days wrapped in that typical November fog.

Discovering Dutch nature during housesitting

Some days I left home early at 4:30AM to go and view the morning mists. It was so worth it, I think this video will show you what I mean.

Is someone looking for housesitters around Christmas and/or New Year in the UK? 😄 For about 1 to 2 weeks?
