hey there friends,

i mentioned a few weeks ago that my dog has a lump on her neck that needs to be removed, and i can’t afford the surgery. 

the lump is getting worse and i just found it freely bleeding because she scratched it (it’s in a very uncomfortable place for her so her natural response it to scratch at it) the place it’s located also means she can’t wear a neck cone because it will just irritate it further.

we tried giving her a cortisone shot in hopes that it would alleviate her itchiness so she wouldn’t scratch it, but it hasn’t worked.

the surgery is nearly $1000 but without having the mole tested it comes down to around $650.

i’m really sorry to be doing this but any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. my parents don’t like her and won’t help pay for the operation.

just thought i’d give you an update on harley!

she’s had the operation (the wound was so bad it was starting to smell/turn grey so i begged my parents) but now they expect me to pay them back within the month.

i just got out of the psych hospital and i now have to do a partial program for several weeks that limits my ability to work to about 8 hours a week, basically making that timeline impossible.

if you could donate i’d really appreciate it, and if not i’d really appreciate if you could share this!

my dad agreed to give me an extra month or two, but demanded $200 from me up front. that’s 2+ weeks of work and means i have $14 in my bank account for the foreseeable future from being out of work due to illness/hospitalization.

i’m really sorry for doing this. it’s super embarrassing and i feel like crap for it but i’m not sure what else to do.

update #2! i was fired from my current job due to “excessive” absences despite having medical notes (which is actually illegal but whatever). however i got hired for a job yesterday (i’m so excited!!!!!), but that doesn’t start until after the 27th of february and depending on where i come in on the pay cycle it would be 2-3 weeks before i receive my first paycheck. that means i won’t be paid for another 4-5 weeks at the earliest. my parents decided to reduce the amount i owe them so i’m now about $200 away from repaying them completely and having them off my back! this has been a huge relief despite still not having the money regardless. i know this post is getting really long but i want to make sure i keep the info current, updated, and correct. it’s a lot to ask but please give this a reblog and consider donating if you’re able!

quick protip: if someone is crying or freaking out over something minor, eg wifi not connecting, can’t find their hat, people talking too loud, do NOT tell them how small or petty the problem is to make it better. they know. they would probably love to calm down. you are doing the furthest possible thing from helping. people don’t have to earn expressions of feelings.

I’m just gonna put it out there that if someone’s freaking about something small, they’re really freaking out about something big that they’re trying to deal with, or something long term that’s been building up, and that little thing is the straw that broke the camel’s back.

I don’t know, try and give people the benefit of the doubt. Don’t be the next straw on their broken back.

I remember hearing/seeing a post where Ghibli’s water always -looks- like how water -feels-.

Like Ghibli has that perfect look of water where yeah, it’s not exactly -realistic- but they capture the perfect feeling.

I love this and now I need to find a collection of gifs oh Ghibli hair. I love when it does the poof thing. None of this is realistic, but it is wonderfully emotive. Emotions usually feel more talk than physics anyways.

Ghibli movies tend to exude an almost dreamlike feeling or a feeling like nostalgia– like, the general mood of the films feel like summer in the country when the sun is shining and it’s quiet and there’s a breeze going, or the smell of fresh cookies from the oven or the way a freshly-laundered quilt feels when it’s wrapped around you by someone you love.

They just FEEL good.  Even the sad movies still give off that same feeling.  It’s almost tangible, but still feels like a fond memory.

It’s really hard to describe kfjhsfjk.

This dance is called the Dabke if anyone wants to know more! I’m pretty sure the above version is from somewhere in Palestine, but it’s also a huge deal in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. According to legend, it originated in stamping on the dirt roofs in the houses of the region to compact the mixture of clay and straw and became a dance eventually.
