I think one of the things with the repeated conspiracy-like accusations about Vivziepop, Hazbin Hotel, and Helluva Boss is that they do prey on genuine fan concerns.
like the most recent allegations are clearly preying on the fact that Hazbin Hotel has been apparently delayed, the official promotions on social media have tailed off, and that other shows with release windows much later than 'Summer 2023' have gotten release dates and teaser trailers and we know where they'll be airing.
So it's easy to twist the same-old "Viv's a toxic problematic person" routine to fit fan anxieties, and make up some shit about A24 'canning Hazbin' even though it's so easily debunked by people actually in the know like Sam Haft (the songwriter on the actual show).
It's the same thing whenever Spindlehorse puts out a call for new animators and the "Viv's desperate because animators are leaving her abusive work environment" accusation gets trotted out again. However in that case, new Helluva Boss episodes do keep on coming; we have the teaser gifs to assure us of that. With Hazbin, the lack of official information about what's happening with the show creates a breeding ground for speculation and worry and conspiracy.
While I understand the nature of NDAs, I understand that A24 cannot produce or stream shows while the SAG and writer's strikes are ongoing, and I definitely understand and appreciate Viv's solidarity with the strikes... I think there is a good amount of onus on A24, or whichever streaming service will be hosting Hazbin Hotel, for not at least announcing the delay and giving a definite, official confirmation on what's going on.
If there is one thing I will criticize Viv for, it's that her more-informal use of Twitter means that when she does tweet serious announcements about her they might tend to get lost or overlooked.
