i dont wanna say much more on the subject of that "modern christians would hate actual jesus" post i made but ive gotten a couple replies saying im wrong for saying jesus would follow/support any political movement and id like to clarify something
i never said he'd follow/support a political movement. i said he'd support the lgbtq+, which is not a political movement. its a group of people who have been burned and shunned by society at large and are banning together to support each other. jesus, as i know him, and hopefully as you know him, was Very Known for hanging out with ppl who society did not want, like that was a big thing he did. THATS what i meant by that. he'd 100% support lgbtq+ people because we're society's rejects. being lgbtq+ is not political, its just our reality.
also i stated he'd be anti-capitalist and someone disagreed w that too and im just like. he flipped tables bc ppl were tryna sell things in his house of prayer. he didnt hate anybody but he strongly disliked the corrupt rich. idk that sounds pretty anti-capitalist to me. do i think he'd use that label? no, i dont think he'd use any labels really! but his actions say more than labels would imo.
so yeah. call me cringe all ya want. i have read the bible, i grew up in a deep southern christian environment, and my wife went to a lutheran school and was required the read the bible multiple times and she also backs me up on my statements, which i still stand by. modern christians would hate the real jesus, and i firmly believe that <3
