hey writers if you want to make a metaphor for racism, please maybe remember that racism is literally based on nothing. Africans weren’t enslaved en masse because the Robo-Musa threatened to destroy the world, they were enslaved because it was economically rewarding and politically convenient. If at any point your allegory for racism includes “so <oppressed group> did this major catastrophe and” then you have not only missed the point but you are literally reinforcing the ideas that racism have let racism self-perpetuate (that e.g. black people are naturally dangerous and violent and must be contained or begrudgingly accepted by the Nice White People)

it’s cool that every website on the internet is noticeably dying because the morons who bought up the entire thing only just now realized that they can’t have infinite profit growth forever and now we’re gonna have to deal with whatever crypto blockchain metaverse bullshit will inevitably replace it all
turns out this was not a glitch and elon implemented a new policy that you can only load a couple hundred tweets onto your timeline a day and then you’re blocked from using the website for the rest of the day. this guy is honestly a genius
for people blissfully free from twitter this also includes replies to tweets, so by clicking a couple tweets you can instantly hit your limit and the site is totally unusable.

the internet has redefined cringe for me from “the general feeling when you suck air through your clenched teeth and veins on your neck pop up” to “feeling second hand embarrassment because someone is being stupid on the internet” so this didnt make sense to me at all

Yeah these numbers he’s giving are bogus, I logged into my main acc and maybe scrolled my tl for 3 minutes + clicked on a few different tweets and I was already locked out. I think this is a cap on how many tweets just load for you at a given time in general so if you open a thread with a boatload of comments you just get fucking vaporized instantly
