Harvesting toy souls

So I was discussing with a friend if toy story toys could die and we came to the conclusion that they couldn't from physical damage but maybe if there soul was stolen. I couldn't find any information on how to harvest toy souls anywhere so if anyone knows how let me know. This conversation came about due to this meme.
