hot take but hunk and pidge aren’t lance’s best friends; keith and allura are.

to elaborate: keith and allura are always there for lance, and lance is always there for them. hunk and pidge aren’t always there for lance, and lance isn’t always there for them. so while the garrison trio may be who the show shows as best friends, it’s really keith, lance, and allura who are the real bffs

also, just to clarify, i’m not saying that hunk and pidge are bad friends to lance and that i hate them or whatever, i just think they have a different relationship with him. lance hasn’t opened up to either of them like he’s opened up to keith and allura, and hunk and pidge haven’t opened up to him, either. pidge mostly opened up to shiro, and hunk…hasn’t been given the time of day by the writers (-_-). hunk and pidge know a different version lance than allura and keith do, which is why they poke fun at him more! it all comes down to the fact that, basically, allura and keith know lance better than hunk and pidge know lance, and lance probably knows allura and keith more than he knows hunk and pidge. that’s all i’m saying.
