Lois, 23 "When it's time for someone to move on, you just gotta let them go."

I am such a burden to everyone. I’m disgusting and I’m needy and nobody actually likes or cares about me. I’m such a piece of shit.

Affection

Plot-Eddie doesn’t understand this feeling in his stomach (angst, fluff)

Female reader x Eddie Munson

Y/N has always been an affectionate and giving person. She grew up with hugs daily, goodnight kisses on her forehead, and cuddling a stuffed animal close. Her affection was easy; she never thought anything of it. So as she got older, she began to pass it on to everyone. To her friends, lovers, and even enemies sometimes, she lived in a world where everything had rainbows and smiling faces. She wanted everyone to feel supported, accepted, and loved.

When Chrissy stuck a landing perfectly during a routine, Y/N was always the first one to smash her in a hug.

When Jason became the captain of the basketball team, a kiss on the cheek and a hug were sent his way.

When Dustin won first place at the science fair, his hair was ruffled by her soft touch and a bear hug that squeezed the air out of him.

When Mike and El celebrated their first anniversary, she was the first one to bake a cake and write a handwritten note.

When Max needed a safe place for the night, she’d hold her as she cried.

When Lucas made the basketball team, she made everyone in the group matching shirts to show support.

When Steve still cried over Nancy, she never questioned why she just listened.

When Robin fell in love with Vickie, she was ready to play wingwoman.

With her loving smile, soft heart, and lively personality, it was a big shock when she fell for Edward Munson.

He was the opposite. He liked things dark and cold, and he did not show much emotion. He believed the world was filled with selfish assholes.

The group warned her that Eddie didn’t see the world as she did, but she wanted to change that. She believed everyone deserves a happy life, and she vowed to make sure he smiled every damn day.

So she treated him just a tiny bit more kindly than her other friends, the ones she was not in love with.

She baked him cookies, all cut out in D&D characters.

She stayed behind on hellfire nights to clean up, even though she had never played before.

She went to every gig, creating posters for the band.

She collected metal band patches that she thought would go with his jacket.

She bought a collection of bandanas so he didn’t have to keep cleaning the same one.

She even made dinner for him and Wayne when they got too busy to eat.

Her favorite thing she did for him was hold him close.

She loved the feeling of wrapping her arms around his small waist, his broad chest smashing into hers, feeling his chin rest on her head, and his arms holding her tight. She wished more than anything she could just kiss his soft lips, but she was too scared.

Even though she was friends with everyone at the school, she felt like she wasn’t noticed by Eddie the way she wanted to.

So she stepped up her game. She began to leave notes in his lunchbox with spare snacks. Little compliments were written on his bathroom mirror when he showered. He still does not know how she sneaks in so quietly. She even became friends with Wayne, helping him add to his mug collection. Whenever she went on a trip, she’d bring Eddie home a shot glass. If she went to the good places, a bag of weed.

She was practically treating him as royalty at this point. She was always quick to help him carry anything, help him with all his homework, or tutor him for upcoming exams. A fast and nervous kiss landed on his cheek every time he aced a test.

She just hoped she was making her feelings clear.

When you’re trying to figure out if your abuse was “bad enough”, please try to stop and remember that you should have never been abused at all.

The fact that it happened means it was “bad enough”. I promise. However you feel is valid and okay.
