what if i never get the opportunity to feel creating blossom inside of me?
the years that i’ve wreaked havoc on my body, will spend the rest of my years reminding me.
what if i never get to hold the hands of a precious life i could create; and all those years i said “no” come back to slap me in the face?
what if i never get to experience my child’s first day of school; if i never get to see first steps, first words or a first tooth?; the sleepless nights of exhaustion wondering how in the world i’ll make it through?
what if i never get to experience the gift of creating life? does that mean i’ve failed as a woman? does that mean this has all been a waste of time?
what if all those years of living in fear of being just like my parents has subconsciously altered the inner makeup of my body? or is it simply the trauma from my childhood returning again to haunt me?
what if i never get the chance to see the faces of my mother and father about the joy we’ve been given?
what kind of wife would i be if i couldn’t even give my husband children? what if my my mother in law has to retire with no grandkids? what about my mother who’s spent only the last 10 years asking?
