Of the Gundam AUs, which do you think set itself most apart from UC in terms of different ways it expressed ideas or philosophies regarding war, conflict and resolution? Can count G Gundam too if you want lol

I mean. G Gundam was certainly the most different in that respect. Probably not in the way you’d think if you hadn’t seen it, though.

They do all kind of cover similar themes in their own different ways, but Turn A is definitely the one that best capitalizes on it.

Well, the “Gundam” label has always felt strange to me, because it can refer to all sorts of fictional things.

“Space Western?” Yes.

“Gundam” is just the name of the anime that was adapted from these stories and the general tone of its character arcs. It’s not some sort of in-universe thing.

(That said, Gundam is the name of the anime’s setting, so that’s probably an advantage for my AUs, since the setting is something I’m familiar with!)
