An Ode to Dying Stars is an 18+ dark fantasy piece of fiction with romance elements that will be written and coded using CScript.

Content warnings (this IF has heavy themes that might be distressing for some, please understand your limits and put your well-being first): murder and attempted murder, abduction, portrayals of unhealthy relationships, (optional) explicit sexual content, mentions of past child abuse, recreational substance use, violence, body horror, torture, gore, blood, self destructive behaviours and unhealthy coping mechanisms, mental health issues, character deaths, pregnancy (optional), explicit language, mentions of past slavery, instances of harassment. As the Heir of the Seelie Kingdom, you’ve never known true freedom. Your whole life has been planned out for you by people who see you as nothing more than a possession and a future figurehead. Only your shadowy father-figure, Faolan, and your best friend, Rune, have ever truly been on your side.

At your coming of age ceremony, your parents announce their intention to marry you off, and you watch as the spark of greed alights in the eyes of the noble Fae around you.

Therefore, it’s almost a relief when a diplomatic incident ends with you being sent to the Unseelie Kingdom at the request of its Monarch, your childhood friend, to settle it.

However, not everything is as it seems, and if you aren’t careful, you might just find that you’ve only traded one gilded cage for another.

  • Customise your HEIR’s identity and appearance: gender (cis and trans), pronouns, colour(s) and style of hair, colour(s) of eyes, skin tone, clothing style, scars, tattoos, and more.
  • This IF is story-driven. You won’t be locked out of choices.
  • Four romance options (two red flag romances, two green(er) flag romances) with two triad poly options.
  • Prepare to take over as Monarch of the Seelie Kingdom, protect your loved ones, and navigate the realms and politics of the Fae.
  • The mc’s personality is somewhat set before they head to the Unseelie Kingdom, and some relationships are set to begin with.

three ships: jesus... my brain can't even comprehend any ships atm but most likely anything from jujitsu kaizen or kimetsu no yaiba. Which I Still have to finish backlogs of seasons for.. God I miss watching anime 😭

currently consuming: obsessed with the Mexican bowl I get at the Cafe around the corner. Avo, spicy grilled chicken, peppers, corn, chili's, red onion, tomato, on a bed of brown rice with cilantro and lime! It's so good 🥺

first ship: This is a bit of a rant BUT IchiRuki.

I loved Rukia × Ichigo from bleach so much. No seriously fuck Orihime. She annoyed the living crap out of me. I hateeeee that whole save me, I want to help but oh save me shit with female characters. Ugh hate me for that if you want but she was annoying AF! I always found Rukia very badass! Orihime is As bad as Elizabeth in Seven deadly sins. I stopped watching because I could not deal with her. She was just there for the boobs and that's on God. 😑 fight me! Idc.

currently working on: trying to simultaneously sort out my classroom and get my studies done which is a mission atm. Trying to get atleast more than 5 hours sleep a night... it's not happening.. and very much enjoying being a beta tester for some really awesome people!

rune is so used to you at this point, they’re just like ‘that’s nice, dear, but you should put the duck back before it gets stressed and then come take a bath with me’. would then loving wash your hair and let you talk their ear off about your adventures.

ez is too busy trying to work out the logistics of this because the duck and you being soaking wet correlates, but where tf does the flaming branch come into it? my baby is going to go prematurely grey at this rate from mc’s antics 😔 (at least they’d make a sexy silver fox/vixen).

aren’s just there like ‘that’s a shame, we should rectify that’ and then kills someone. just like that they’ve taken the attention off of you so you don’t need to explain anything. aren’t they a good partner?

Okay I just reread the Arens gift ask and how loud does the heart beat in the closed box? I have a maneki neko and its paw does a little bump when it makes a full swing and I've got used to it constantly making noise so much after years that now I have hard time falling asleep without it. If the heartbeat is heard outside the box that would mean that hypothetically the same thing could happen too.

I am totally so normal about Aren I promise no one has ever been normaler.

i kind of picture it more like a music box, so you can’t hear the heart unless it’s open.

but i think that would make it worse, you know, like mc actively keeps the box open at night because it comforts them and helps them sleep.

aren would be delighted to know their gift was being so well received, whereas faolan is getting you to a therapist immediately because that’s your stalkers beating heart in a box babes.

because i said so and i’m the poor soul who has to put up with the thirsty aren asks.

but fr it’s because of the trauma and abuse that mc suffers at the hands of their parents and the fact that rebelling would only result in people they care for being punished.
