I love this, because there’s obviously something very clever going on to analyse patterns of language, but it’s also profoundly ignorant.

[ID: A screenshot of a Grammarly correction, labelled “clarity: conciseness”. The original text reads “Every book, which wasn’t many…” This is crossed out with the suggestion “Everyn’t many book” and the note “Consider shortening this phrase.” /end id]

Story time: this reminds me of some kids in an English class I’m in. They were doing written work and the teacher and I were going around checking their work. They had to do like, “do/do not”, and one example was “prepare”. Something like “My father does not/doesn’t prepare dinner”. I look at this one kid’s paper and this galaxy-brained child had written “My father preparen’t dinner” and it took everything in me to not lose it laughing right there like. This child saw a pattern and ran with it and I respect that.

Intermittentlysmitten hid this in the tags and shouldn’t have.

And if you do get paid for your ideas/writing during the strike, that is considered scabbing and you will be barred from the WGA for life, as per this email from the Blacklist:

And, because a lot of people don't understand this bit, this is about you selling your ideas or writing to US-based TV studios or movie studios who are part of the AMPTP. There is no strike against book publishers. Nor audiobooks, graphic novels, or poetry publishing. Or just writing.

Read the above from the WGA.

being a catgirl doesnt have to mean being small and feminine... it is about having cat characteristics and there are indeed many cat experiences to be found and identified with, many one could relate to. you could be a garfield catgirl. a bonifacy catgirl. a straycatj catgirl. endless possibilities

THE LAZARUS PROJECT (2022) created by Joe Barton is a sci-fi thriller about a group of people with a time machine who use it to prevent the extinction of humanity by reversing time every time the end of the world happens (eg. nuclear warfare).

It's a brilliant story about what it means to play god, how can any of us decide what's worth saving especially people whose sense of reality and permanence have been eroded by seeing time erased again and again, seeing life undone over and over. takes the time loop subgenre to totally new levels. it's also kind of hilarious.

also the three main leads are people of colour, played by Paapa Essiedu of I May Destroy You fame, Anjli Mohindra, and Rudi Dharmalingan. Anjli's character is a bisexual woman and the other two guys have insane homoerotic tension. that's it that's my pitch please go watch it <3
