It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!

Strange that it never occured to me. There are times I've been so upset that I've stamped around while cussing, that I've lain flat on the floor and groaned for as long as I had breath, that I've ranted my frustration aloud in an unhinged monologue, that I've swung my limbs about in a fury. All until I'd vented enough to just ... resume my normal life.
And if I'd had not the privacy of my home, I'd either have had to bottle that all up ... or open it all up where the public could scrutinize my every move. It really is a privilege to not be constantly on display like that.

can we start calling trans Gwen denial what it actually is: erasure. never ever would any of y’all bend over so far backwards to say “actually i think this character isn’t gay they just have that rainbow flag because they’re an ally” and you’re only saying it this time because you’re fucking transphobic. that is the truth.
I don't get the vibe that she is trans, I just don't. That's coming from a trans person. I don't think it's transphobic inherently to not think she's trans. I do however thing she's an aggressive ally. Someone who will get arrested fighting for your right to be who you are. I feel like she come to a pride event wearing a shirt that says free hugs and probably painted in trans colors because I do feel that she identifies with the type of feelings that lies of trans people have, but I don't think it's about gender for her. I think she has those feelings about herself as a person, like... like her personality over her body? If that makes sense? Like I feel like she feels that she almost has to "come out" so to speak as he own personality because I feel like she thinks it's wrong for a girl to behave and feel the way she does? But not because of her physical body?
Now I will preface this that you do have a prerogative to interpret fiction in whichever way you want, however I will ask you to distinguish between your headcanons and actual canon.
With that out of the way, let's talk canon. Gwen is a part of a band, but when we see her play, no queer imagery in sight, instead we find it in her room. This firmly communicates that she is not just an ally. An aggresive ally would use their time in the limelight to be an ally. In short, she'd have something like a trans sticker on her drums.
Now let's talk about her room. Would an ally place a trans flag in their room? No, they'd put it where strangers can see it, so trans people feel safe and transphobes can feel small. Only people you know get to be in your room.
So why is she trans? A trans flag is very trans behaviour, as people have a tendency to decorate in accordance with their personal struggles and joys. Her dad also has a makeshift trans flag on his uniform. If he was just being an ally, it would realistically be a rainbow, but he cares about trans people in particular for some reason. If I was a betting girl, I'd say it's something personal.
Lastly I will remind any ney sayers, that if something looks like a duck, acts like a duck and sounds like a duck, it's properly a duck. This goes double in fiction, where details should always be treated as intentional.
