Hey my names Cherry it's Pride Month I'm an agender bisexual who currently lives alone with their four cats (not insane or hoarder I promise I just keep finding strays who I can't rehome) anyways I've made a little target registry of things I want/need. If any Ally wants to Do a Support of a Gay this month, consider myself as a Gay to Support! Shares alone are appreciated &!!! Supporting a Gay does in fact give you bragging rights as a Good Ally until December 31st, 2023 :)
i looked at queeringthemap today and had a good cry but these especially touched me
yeah.
No matter where you are in the world you aren't alone
One thing that bothers the fuck out of me when I tell people I’m autistic, and they say the old “really? I couldn’t tell! You don’t seem autistic,” is that they COULD tell. They could tell that I’m intense and have no volume control because they’ve pointed it out. They could tell that I dont have a great understanding of social cues because they laugh when I miss them. They could tell that I stim because they’ve told me to stop fidgeting. So they COULD tell, because I DO “seem” autistic, but to them, they just saw my autistic traits as personal failures and never as things that I simply couldn’t help.
funds for indigenous communities affected by the canada wildefires
- grassy meadows first nations (ontario) needs funds for an escape route
- odawa first nations (quebec/ontario) is raising funds for evacuees
- algonquins of barriere (mitchikanibikok inik in alberta) lake mutual aid request
- if you’re near gatineau, you can drop off food donations for mitchikanibikok inik at the ramada plaza; you can also email info/@/health.rapidlake.com with mutual aid donations. please note that the maniwaki native friendship center is now closed to donations
- if you’re directly affected, the pueblo action alliance has developed a guide for DIY filtration for the smoke
i’ll update this as i find more fundraising initiatives and please free to share your own. reblogs with anything than sharing resources/mutual aid requests/fundraising opportunities get blocked.
interesting post but it fails to mention any of my favorite colors, biomes, or chemicals so i will not be liking or reblogging it at this time. looking forward to the revised edition
there’s almost 70,000 homeless people in nyc. around an estimated 4,000 of those live unsheltered in public spaces. homeless people are already at extreme risk of health complications. continued exposure to poor air quality damages one’s immune system, something that is deadly to those already predisposed to have health risks. the disproportionate impact of climate change and climate events on homeless communities is an important and needed discussion.
“I’m sorry your sky was orange but why are you complaining this much 🙄” my niece is 2 years old and has a lethal genetic condition that directly impacts her lung function. my sister spend the past three days in an unairconditioned home with every door frame and window stuffed with towels with my niece and my newborn nephew because exposing my niece to the poor quality air could cut down her already reduced lifespan and increase her likelihood of needing a lung transplant in the near future. poor air quality is a matter of life or death for many vulnerable groups and is an increasingly prevalent concern due to the impact of climate change.
Part of a series of queer and trans prints I'll have available at this weekend's Pride market, and then in my shop after.
