The best thing a parent could do for their children is work on themselves and their goals. Kids don’t learn by what you tell them, they watch and copy what you do. Children who become independent from the culture they grew up in normally tend to be the scape goat for friction and conflict in the household. This goes two ways; either the child becomes limited by mental and emotional oppression, or the child completely disconnects from the family. As a role model for your child, not only will you help set the tone for the type of life they can create for themselves. You know how to better communicate and support your child when they are striving for things that a parent who doesn’t share the same mindset would not understand.
