PAWS!
Double tap to high five the beans

How do you know if what I am experiencing is an actual sensory issue, or just me being too sensitive? Like I hate the smell of a car's inside when I get in for instance, if that makes sense. I don't like the change of fresh air to the one of packed "old" warm air of a car.
Hi there,
I found some helpful information from Neurodivergent Insights that goes into sensory overload.
The article also goes into what sensory overload is and what can trigger it. Here is an excerpt:
Sensory overload happens when our brains are overwhelmed by too much sensory input, such as sights, sounds, smells, tastes, and touch. Itβs a world where every sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste takes on an intensity that can be overwhelming.
When sensory overload occurs, our nervous system becomes bombarded by a surplus of sensory information, disrupting its delicate balance. It's as if the volume dial on our senses is cranked up to the maximum, flooding our brains with overwhelming stimuli. When we are in a state of sensory overload, regulating our behaviors and emotions becomes much more difficult. Our stress response takes over until we can get back to sensory safety.
Iβll leave the full article below, as it goes into more detail.
I hope this helps answer your question. Thank you for the inbox. I hope you have a wonderful day/night. β€οΈ

China-based Spider-oc
My first image id. Hope this is right:
[Image ID: The first image shows a full-body reference of a Chinese Spider-person. Both the back and front are shown. The design is a play on the word 'China', as their body resembles a porcelain vase. Their body is mostly white and is adorned with blue floral patterns and has red highlights like the spider on their chest and on the tip of their toes. A blue dragon winds around their right arm. The description reads, "Cursed by an ancient spider spirit, this Spider-person now lives eternally within her own suit. It is possible to crumble the suit and escape, but it will regenerate around the inflicted individual."
The second image displays a more in-depth depiction of how the suit works. As the person throws a punch, the dragon on their arm moves along with the movement. The description reads, "the dragon swims through the procelain surface and is a sentient being itself. It sometimes moves along with attacks."
At the bottom, the face of the character is revealed. They have asian features and red eyes, along with moles on their nose. They have short hair that resembles a pixie cut. Next, the same illustration is shown, but with the character grimacing behind their mask. The mask is breaking apart, showing a portion of the character's face. The description reads, "the 'porcelain' can shatter when it takes too much damage. It will take time for the suit to regenerate." /.End ID]

Genocide
(c) Andriy Yermolenko
On May 18, the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crimean Tatar Genocide and the Day of Struggle for the Rights of the Crimean Tatars are marked. On this day in 1944, the Soviet government began an operation to deport the Crimean Tatar population from the Crimean peninsula.

The way the Russian Revolution happened really is the most incredible series of circumstances that abruptly brought a huge country's political system from semi-feudal autocracy to communist revolution
Like, ok so you have the autocrat. And we are talking a full throated autocrat. Parliament is his puppet, he hates democracy almost as much as he hates Jews, and he's committed to having his dynasty last 1000 years despite his only male heir being a hemophiliac.
Dude gets into the biggest war in world history. The whole time, big business and the nobility are asking him to maybe please let them in on the decision making and administrative process so they can help with the war effort. He says no and continues to do everything himself despite being one of the stupidest and least capable monarchs in history.
This goes on for three years until in February 1917 finally the people revolt in the capital, the soldiers join the protestors and he has to abdicate. Now the government is run by the representatives of said nobility and big business, led by a guy named Pavel Miliukov who if he was alive today would write for the fucking Economist and Atlantic. He then in April manages to fuck everything up worse by promising to the UK that Russia will fight this war to the last man whether the people want to or not.
So he has to leave the government, and the more progressive parts of the nobility and business invite a couple moderate socialists into the government in exchange for their endorsement. Bernie endorses Biden type thing. And it seems to work, because everyone love the moderate socialists. But then the war keeps happening. Russia keeps losing and it will not ever just quit the war.
So they invite more socialists into the government. The whole government becomes moderate socialists. This makes the moderate socialists unpopular because they do not end the war and they cannot fix all the problems. A lot of ordinary people just drop out of politics at this point, but those that are left turn more and more toward the very radical Bolshevik Party.
The Bolsheviks try to do a coup in July. It fails. But this freaks out the reactionaries in the country and the military. The fascists start killing random Jews. In August, General Kornilov tries to do a mutiny to help the moderate socialist government by crushing the radical socialists, but the moderates dont endorse his coup so he gives up. This ruins what little credibility the moderate socialists had, because they appear to be on the same side as the reactionaries.
So finally October comes. The government is so weak and everyone is so checked out of politics that the Bolsheviks with their Red Guards and cokehead Baltic sailors overthrow the government because why the hell not. Now Lenin, who was some nobody doing speaking tours in exile at the start of the year, rules the country.
The Bolsheviks initially do not intend to rule alone, they invite the moderate socialists to share power. The moderate socialists refuse, walk out in disgust, and call in a force of 3000 Cossacks to retake the capital and crush the Bolsheviks. They fail, the Bolsheviks end up fighting the moderate socialists, you never hear the end of it from moderate socialists to this day. The Bolsheviks at this point only have the anarchists willing to form a coalition with them.
Postscript: the Bolsheviks don't end the war right away. Lenin wants to, but the party has this crazy idea about a global revolution and a great war against Germany to make socialism happen in Europe. Except the Germans keep coming even stronger than before. Finally Lenin and Trotsky sign a treaty to end the war, conceding a lot of territory. Suddenly everyone in the world from Rosa Luxemburg to the Russian anarchists denounces the Bolsheviks for daring to sign this peace. The anarchists who had been working with the Bolsheviks decide they need to do a campaign of terror so they go around killing Communists. Lenin gets shot. The Bolsheviks then have to put the anarchists in jail and you never hear the end of this from anarchists.

well there was the part before where the soviets issue the decree on peace (rejected by the imperialist powers) accompanied by the secret allied treaties that got everyone in the war. the allies were trying to keep russia in their war against germany and got some concessions from lenin and trotsky too, against bukharin who was leading the opposition to the treaty. from trotsky's my life:
On the twenty-second of February, at the meeting of the Central Committee, I reported that the French military mission had conveyed the French and English offers to help us in a war with Germany. I expressed myself as in favor of accepting the offer, on condition, of course, that we be completely independent in matters of foreign policy. Bukharin insisted that it was inadmissible for us to enter into any arrangements with the imperialists. Lenin came vigorously to my aid, and the Central Committee adopted my resolution by six votes against five. As far as I can remember now, Lenin dictated the resolution in these words: βThat Comrade Trotsky be authorized to accept the assistance of the brigands of the French imperialism against the German brigands.β He always preferred formulas that left no room for doubt. After I left the meeting, Bukharin overtook me in the long corridor of the Smolny, threw his arms about me, and began to weep. βWhat are we doing?β he exclaimed. βWe are turning the party into a dung-heap.β Bukharin is generally ready with his tears, and likes realistic expressions. But at this time the situation was becoming really tragic. The revolution was between the hammer and the anvil.
and from stephen cohen's bukharin and the bolshevik revolution:
I have a lot of issues with Steve Cohens hagiographic biography of Bukharin, and this is one of them. The idea that the Bolsheviks could have successfully fought some sort of Vietnam style guerilla war against the Germans is nonsense. Immediate peace was a huge part of their appeal in 1917, as big as land redistribution was. Every government that had tried to keep the war going had lasted only a few months, and they would have been no different.
Not to mention the guerilla war that Cohen claims Bukharin was envisioning was in no way something that he would have been thinking of. Bukharin imagined that revolutionary soldiers would be so filled with radical fervor they would be unstoppable on the battlefield; the defeat at Narva proved that was a stupid fantasy.
Yes Lenin and Trotsky were pragmatists ready to at least hear out offers of support from all comers, while Bukharin was an absolute idealist.
Yes, the Bolsheviks did then have to fight another war, but it was a civil war, something much easier to justify than World War 1 which ordinary Russians by that point saw as a foreign conflict they wanted no part in.
Finally, the peasants were never eager fighters for the Bolsheviks. Their participation in the civil war was coerced by both sides; the Reds often had to take hostages from villages to force the men in them to join the army. The core of Bolshevik fighting support was always the relatively small urban working class.
