I remember reading a study where researchers realized that female birds of a certain species preferred males with a darker breast. So they created what they literally called a “Super-Sexy Male” by catching a male and coloring his chest with a marker. They then ran dna tests on the eggs in the area.

Previously when the researchers had run these tests, they found a certain amount of infidelity was common for these birds. Somewhere around 10% of eggs were fathered by males who were not the primary mates of females.

After the advent of the Super Sexy Male, however, stuff got crazy in bird world. Infidelity skyrocketed, with upwards of 25% of ALL EGGS in the area being fathered by this specific male. Furthermore, his mate’s eggs were 100% his.

It's the epitome of the REAL definition of "degeneration" and people act like it's some sort of "beautiful natural process" no bitch it's literally a disease. It's a built-in kill switch your body has and science has proven this kill switch can be turned off with the right treatments.

Same goes for death itself. "Natural" body death can also be stopped with the right treatments - in fact, there's a lot of overlap between anti-aging treatments that could exist in the next couple decades and the anti-death treatments that could show up in a similar amount of time.

I think it's worth mentioning from an autistic perspective that Mana is almost entirely non-verbal in every public appearance he's ever made and people around him tend to respect that and work with him to communicate. This is a au inspired by the death god costume in s1e20 "control freaks". My friend and I made up a long (actually, not long enough) story about Death God Danny and Vlad. In the story, Vlad is the kid who can see the Death God which is supposed by be seen only by dying people. It's quite complicated so I will post more about it another day perhaps (run away).

I am WAY late to the Flynn Fenton party, but I’m still jumping on the bandwagon regardless cuz I love how the phandom just hijacked this child for their own XDD

For my take on Flynn, I’m tossing him into my au and rather than being a long lost older brother, Flynn is Danny’s great grandnephew! Danny obviously never had kids (being married to a ghost and all), so Jazz has single-handedly kept the Fenton bloodline going. I don’t have all the specifics yet, but Jazz had at least one child (a son) and raised him as a single mother, so that’s why the Fenton name continues on

Danny dies the rest of the way and becomes full ghost before Flynn is born, but he and Dan still hang around the family and help take care of them when they can. Flynn is Danny’s favorite (for reasons I have yet to come up with XD), so he and Danny are fairly close UvU

The incident with Misery Vex (did the phandom ever decide on what to do with her??) involves Flynn being in the lab at the wrong time and he gets nabbed by her, and once Dan and Danny catch wind of the kidnapping, they immediately go after them and there’s hell to pay; don’t mess with Flynn’s flaming dead uncles XDD

Flynn is understandably shaken up by the experience, so once he’s returned home safely, he asks his uncles if they can train him to be a ghost hunter so that he can protect himself and others in the future. Dan and Danny are of course thrilled at the idea, so they teach Flynn everything they know and help him build his arsenal. The chains Flynn has are of course Fenton brand, and I’m still figuring things out, but I’m thinking maybe his staff is retractable or something so he can store it in one of the pouches on his belt when not in use X3 I really like the half-up/half-down hairstyle I’ve seen some people give Flynn, so I wanted my version to have that as well, and Flynn’s hazmat suit is designed the way I have it cuz he wanted it to look more like a superhero costume so he could look cool while fighting ghosts XD

This is all I got so far, but hopefully I’ll have more to share later X3

Haunted past wip

Rage filled eyes flashed red to glare down at Danny. Danny took a step back, fear and trepidation filling him, his instincts screaming to get away from his future counterpart.

"You left me!" Dan shouted - no, screamed- a hint of his ghostly wail haunting his words. "You're the one who abandoned me! I was a part of you and you threw me away! You cast me out! I only did what I had to to survive and you left!"

There was so much pain in his words, pain long hidden, buried in the deepest regions of his core. Even now Dan tried to suppress it, but it was too late. Danny heard it all, heard the underlying accusations.

I needed you. You abandoned me. Why?

Danny didn't know. He didn't have an answer. He hadn't lived through the same pain that Dan had, hadn't suffered the same tragedy except for what Dan himself had put him through.

He reached out for the ghost. Dan's red eyes widened as a small hand touched his cheek, thumb wiping away a tear. He hadn't realized he started crying in his outburst. Danny stared up at him, sky blue eyes shining with unspoken emotion and tears.

"I'm sorry, Dan..." he whispered, wishing there was more he could say, more he could do to ease his counterpart's suffering. "I'm so sorry."
