"Don't you understand? I have no choice."
“Do you mean ter tell me,“ he growled at the Dursleys, “that this boy—this boy!—knows nothin’ abou'—about ANYTHING?" Harry thought this was going a bit far. He had been to school, after all, and his marks weren’t bad.

what is grief?
is it when lily watched the words form on voldemort’s lips knowing she would never see her son grow?
or is it when james beheld the intruder and realised he had been betrayed by his best friend?
or when sirius fell on his knees next to his brother in all but blood and screamed?
was it grief when an eleven year old boy learned of his parents’ murder after years of knowing a lie?
is it grief to live a lie or learn the truth?
is grief all the above or so much more?
i ask again, what is grief?

Naturally,“ said Madame Rosmerta, with a small laugh. “Never saw one without the other, did you? The number of times I had them in here – ooh, how they used to make me laugh.

‘He didn’t catch it, he nearly swalloed it,’ Flint was still howling twenty minutes later, but it made no difference-Harry hadn’t broken any rules and Lee Jordan was still happily shouting the results-Gryffindor had won by 170 points to 60.

Childhood/Family: Rose spent most of her childhood watching Chudley Cannons games with her father, visiting bookshops with her mother, and arguing with her brother Hugo. She enjoyed growing up; although her family wasn’t as well off as some of their cousins’, the Weasley-Granger family lived in a quaint little house on the outskirts of Ottery St. Catchpole and was reasonably comfortable. Rose was close to Lily as a girl, and the two started a secret club in the treehouse at the bottom of the Potters’ garden. Over time, the two girls drifted towards other friends, but they always felt like sisters to each other. The only thing Rose found difficult as she reached Hogwarts age was the pressure she was under from her parents. Although they didn’t mean to cause harm, Hermione expected Rose to keep up with her academics, and Ron simply assumed that his two children would be Gryffindors and Chudley Cannons fans for life. Thankfully, once Rose reached her limit one evening and insisted that she would be her own person, the pressure stopped (something which Hugo was secretly glad about, and after that day started to wear his Tutshill Tornadoes shirt in public). Hogwarts: Rose was Sorted into Ravenclaw, and quickly found herself a large group of girl friends. She was slightly sad that Al wasn’t in her house, but the two had certain lessons together, so it wasn’t too bad. During the first few years at Hogwarts, she split her time between gossiping with her girl friends and visiting the library to study with Al. In her fourth year, James convinced her to try out for her house Quidditch team; two weeks later she’d been made Seeker. Up until that point, she’d been fairly reserved – she’d concentrated mostly on friendships and schoolwork – but once she found an active social life outside of her classes she began to grow much more confident. Indeed, she kept a Kiss Chart on her bedroom wall in her sixth year, and the amount of scores on it was rivaled only by Lorcan’s. To her professors, Rose was a sweet, dedicated student; to her girl friends, she was wild and fun, and to her cousins, she was motherly and had a streak of Hermione’s old patronising nature. James once called her a goody-two-shoes when Rose was fifteen because she refused to participate in a Weasley prank, but she got him back at a drunken party that night by kissing one of his classmates. After that, James held nothing but respect for his cousin, and marvelled at how she managed to keep a perfect reputation whilst still loving to drink and party. During Hogwarts, Rose’s best friends were Al and a Ravenclaw girl called Helena Davies. She became closer to Hugo once the two had reached their teenage years, and also spent a weekend each month going shopping with Lily and Dominique. As for James, the pair had spent the first few years at school finding the other’s attitude nothing short of ridiculous, but over time found a connection and became really special friends to one another. Rose’s first boyfriend was Scorpius Malfoy, in their second year, and although it lasted for over a year it was never properly serious – they both felt that they were too young for that kind of thing, and no hard feelings were harbored by either of them. In fact, Scorpius was always the guest of honour at Rose’s parties, and the two came to love each other like siblings once they had grown out of their “childish” romance. In her spare time Rose liked to sketch, read romance novels, study and party. She was also a Christian. Her favourite subject was Ancient Runes; her least favourite was perhaps Herbology. In her sixth year, the students sat mock NEWT examinations – and Rose, for the first time in her life, by complete fluke, failed each and every one of them (Al privately thought this to be very good for her). Thankfully, this was a mere blip on her otherwise perfect academic record, so she ended up finding it funny more than anything. After Hogwarts: Rose didn’t feel like settling down as soon as she graduated, so she travelled the world for a year with Helena. Her best friend returned to England before she did; after that, Rose travelled alone, which is when she met a Muggle artist named Finn. The two bonded over their love of art, and, even when they happened to be separated by continents, wrote each other postcards from all over the world. After a few years of travel, Rose returned to England to apply for a post at the Ministry of Magic, but not before introducing Finn to her family as her boyfriend. Rose worked in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement as an intern for a year, before she progressed up the ranks until she eventually worked under her mother. Rose and Finn got married in Rose’s church during March 2036. They had two children together – Alstroemeria and Samuel – and the family remained close to the Potters and to Hugo Weasley’s family, too.
