Paul Delaroche, The Young Martyr, 1755 Oil painting
Fall of the Rebel Angels, carved out of a single piece of marble in 1740 by Italian sculptor Agostino Fasolato, it depicts 60 fallen angels.
In one of the most widely circulated portraits of Philip K Dick, he’s shown wearing a “Rozz-Tox” shirt, which I finally found out was a manifesto written by alt-comics legend Gary Panter about the relationship between art and capitalism.
I guess it was distributed through Ralph Records (home of The Residents amongst many others).
Interesting read. Also curious about PKD’s thoughts on it and his relationship to that scene
