Why he in a doll house
I like your interpretation that it’s a doll house, thats neat! It’s about the fear of a civilian life, a dull life, a boring life. Even when he was rejected by the army he went and sought out combat on his own, I think a person who does that is not at peace with a safe “normal” enviroment. He’s here depicted in a safe but mundane room, except it’s way too small for him. It’s a room thats simply not built to fit him. Because in his eyes, this sort of life is not only scary, but feels alien and really uncomfortable. That’s why I put him there!
