I was thinking about an incident is my psych 101 class where our professor was trying to prove a point about motivation or something, specifically people who claim to be more motivated by money. He asked us who believed they would do anything for money and picked two guys who raised their hands and had them come to the front of the classroom. They were your classic white college bros, dumb khaki shorts and like backwards caps that shit and T-shirts with a bar logo on it or something y’all know who I’m talking about 😒
Anyway my professor pulled ten $100 bills out of his wallet and told the boys “I will give each of you $500 if you kiss each other”
They both immediately said “I’m good” and of course everyone laughed and yes it’s rooted in homophobia and sexism to an extent but that isn’t the point
I turned to the girl next to me and she looked at me and without even thinking we both said “I would kiss you for $100. Now what makes this exchange hilarious, is we both said it thinking we were straight at the time. Two years later I came out as a lesbian and later stumbled upon her name in an article about a lesbian roller derby team on campus 🥲
So MY POINT IS imagine your OTP... but in which position??
The two same-sex idiots challenged to kiss in front of the whole class (and who in this AU of course are mutually pining after each other and actually want to kiss but what if the other doesn’t want to... unless 👀 👉🏽👈🏽)
the two same-sex idiots in the audience judging the idiots who wouldn’t kiss and readily agreeing to kiss each other while still thinking they’re straight and not even questioning it
