My April piece for the @teacupsandtime2k18 Hannibal fan calendar! My assigned episodes were Kaiseki, Sakizuki and Hassun, which means prison/trial tension and the beautiful human mural tableau :)

So, I took part in the Hannibal artbook Field Kabuki, and we were finally allowed to post our works!
The red spider lily, or higanbana, is probably rather familiar to anime/manga fans, since it’s used pretty often to signify death and loss.
It came to my attention that I hadn’t posted this here. It was my contribution for the Fannibal anthology Radiance made by the amazing folks at @lovecrimebooks
I rather leave the meaning to interpretation I think. I really enjoyed making this for such a wonderful fandom. Forever Fannibals.
