Controversy Time: Proposed house rules that sound good but are actually Very Bad Ideas (tm)
I'll start with an idea I saw online that I think about a lot: you can only use magic with native spell components (e.g. if you learnt magic at a place with no native bats, you can't learn fireball).
Does it make some sense in universe? Yes. Does it add flavor to different region's magic? Absolutely.
Is it going to render wizards needlessly complex and absolutely useless? Oh yeah.
Your turn!
