My version of the Gorgon parents, Varamo and Myria! :D As I fuse anime and manga verse, I headcanon that they first owned the temple like structure in the arrow forest before Medusa inherited it and they moved away.
They are two of the most powerful magic users. The Gorgon family is even feared by other witches for a reason.

My first time drawing Kaguya, with my own color choices for her. She has no official colors sadly. There was a blue/white fancoloring, but I didn't like it.

My entry for the Soul Eater redesign challenge. A character I wanted to redesign was Clown Kaguya, who appeared in the “War on the moon/Dark side of the moon” arc.
What many people bothers about this character is that she runs around buttnaked, except her robe and red kishin marks. While that didn’t bother me, I was more dissapointed in her design? As there is a japanese folkslore story about “Moon Princess Kaguya”. While the clowns in SE don’t really look like clowns…especially Kaguya, I didn’t imput that too much in her design, aside the almost white skin with the red marks.
So instead, I designed her look morefitting to the folkslore tale and the Kaguya from the “Naruto’‘series, by giving her bluish colors and long hair. Small cut roundeyebrows were the past sign of royality. I really hate bodyshamingsexy characters however. Kaguya gets to keep her sexiness, with arack and short kimono. Yet, her Kimono kept it’s layer ability.
The other was a redesign of her’'wardrobe change”. I still kept it as a pretty coat, but longer andcovering her more. The aspect of sexy is more “show withoutshowing”, so her teasing while being more dressed would’ve made moresense to me. And the “tail” is attached to her waist, not the bigfluffy part behind her head. In this form her colors change toreddish ones to support it, while her hair gets shorter.

The spider family! (Without the father…) I am thinking Tina and Latro have quite high positions in Arachnophobia, but don’t really give any orders.
Not much to say here, but I finally finished her! I had the sketch on my PC on a while, also from last summer.
She would be a weapon as well, maybe a rocket launcher.
Now I have all my Lord Death kids finished! Next I’ll make the Marie X Joe kid and my Croma children.

In my AU, Giriko is Tina's weapon partner (until she gets left behind in Death City) and uses Medusa's soul to become a Death Scythe, to fight with Tina against her father Lord Death. Also with Giriko, her fighting style is lacking any elegance and his a mess, like Crona's.
Before Tina started living with her father in Death City and converted to the good side, she was a pretty terrible person.
This was originally supposed to be for the one color challenge…but then I decided against it. Anyways, I am really proud of the finished product.
I kept her nose and face in the original SE style, as I am not really a fan of “NOT!”’s moe style with dot noses. For her hair, I used Medibang’s manga flower patterns and added color over them with the clipping function.
This will probably be my last fanchild for Lord Death… The mom is Marie! I really had fun designing her. uwu

Art Trade with my friend Aya! Her OC Amelia with Latro. c: Amelia is created later to “replace” Tina, after Arachne’s first retreat. As Tina “betrayed” her mother, by joining her father’s side, this when the spider family started spiraling down into madness.
For my upcoming Resbang, I finally finished the design for my version of the Gorgon parents! Posting them as a little promo~ While I stan fankids, I also love the reverse way, aka designing parents for a character! Death’s dad is the next on the way~
Generally, against some theories I do NOT believe the Gorgon sisters are half sisters despite their very different colors and apperance. They all have the same 2 parents, it is just that Shaula and Arachne took more after their mother, while Medusa took more after their father.
That is why I tried to make the parents’ animal themes fit that of their daughters. Considering the Gorgon sisters’ mother role complex, I am pretty positive their parents haven’t been the best with them…

Myria Chilo Gorgon, a centipede witch. The HUGE venomous centipedes with a very painful bite. Originally she was “Morrighan Gorgon”, but I thought a crow theme would be unfitting due her daughters’ themes. What insect is long like a snake? A centipede.
She is a very aristocratic woman, looking down on others, especially humans. The Gorgon family comes from a powerful blood line that dates all the way back at the start of humanity, what Myria takes great pride in.
Her magic is based on mental manipulation, mind control and poison. So like Arachne’s and Shaula’s. She can also split herself up into multiple big centipedes. Myria is very tall and curvy.

Varamo Gorgon, a Komodo Dragon themed sorcerer. I chose that theme as komodo’s are largest reptiles aside snakes to use toxin. As Medusa looks so different from her sisters, I decided she simply came more after him.
Varamo comes from a powerful linage of lizard themed witches/sorcerers, which were however not known as known as the Gorgon family. Like his daughter, he is calm and collected all the time and is very ruthless to get what he wants.
The magic is fully offensive (he WILL make use of his sharp teeth and claws) and makes usage of powerful poison that he transfers onto his magic komodos or his own teeth. To make up for his missing lower right arm, Varamo can make himself a magic “prosthesis”. Like Medusa and Shaula, Varamo’s poison can kill an infected victim normally, when he wants, or just to turn them into a mindless slave.

Anyone remember my bad sketches for my Resbang? I finally decided to finish them, as that really was my goal! I hope to get a long done this week.
My interpretation of the Gorgon parents.
Myria Chilo Gorgon, a centipede witch. I wanted an insect that was venomous, yet formed like a snake. So a centipede. Shaula and Arachne got their looks from her.
Varamo Gorgon is a komodo dragon sorcerer, who Medusa got most traits from. There are not many scalie creatures that are venomous aside for snakes. So my choice fell on a komodo dragon! Strong, big, dangerous and venomous.

Something I wanted to draw since a long time! We saw Arachne having a madness form in the manga, where she became an actual arachne. So I figured Medusa would become an actual medusa (or naga) and also look more monstery. Instead of snakes, I made her hairs vectors and her hood resembling a cobra shield.
Like Arachne, she would have her own madness wavelength now and able to cause madness hallucinations, tho I think Medusa’s would be far more vile. She can also use animal specific abilities, as Arachne could use spiderwebs, of types of snakes. Meaning a variety of poisons or using her immense physical power to suffocate them. Instead kicks, she does deadly tail whips and stabs.
Like an actual snake, she can also stun her enemy.
