over the years, i have been taught what certain cravings mean and how i can replace them in a healthy way. so i figured, why not share it with you guys? 

if you crave chocolate…

your body needs magnesium. a quick fix for this is raw nuts and seeds, legumes, or fresh fruits. 

if you crave sweets…

your body might need some of the following: 

-chromium - have some broccoli, grapes, cheese, or chicken. 

-carbon - chow down on some fresh fruit. 

-phosphorus - chicken, eggs, legumes, or grains can help. 

-tryptophan - similar to magnesium, have some raw nuts and seeds, legumes, or fresh fruits. 

if you crave bread or toast… 

your body needs nitrogen. have some high protein foods such as fish, meat, nuts, or beans. 

if you crave fatty foods… 

your body needs calcium. broccoli, kale, legumes, or cheese help. 

if you crave alcohol… 

your body might need some of the following:

-protein - think seafood, dairy, or nuts. 

-avenin - chow down on some granola or oatmeal. 

-calcium - broccoli, kale, legumes, or cheese help.  

-potassium - bitter greens or seaweed usually do the trick. 

if you crave ice cream/shaved ice… 

your body needs iron. some suggestions are fish, greens, seaweed, or black cherries. 

if you crave burned or grilled food… 

your body needs carbon. chow down on some fresh fruits. 

if you crave soda and carbonated drinks… 

your body needs calcium.  broccoli, kale, legumes, or cheese help.

if you crave salty foods…

your body needs chloride. goat milk (yes i know that’s a little odd) and fish help. 

if you crave acid foods (burgers)… 

your body needs magnesium. just like chocolate, have some raw nuts and seeds, legumes, or fresh fruits. 

if you crave cool drinks (milkshakes or malts)… 

your body needs manganese. some suggestions are walnuts, pecans, almonds, pineapple, or blueberries. 

if you’re PMS-ing… 

your body needs zinc. red meat, seafood, leafy greens, and root vegetables are helpful. 

if you’re overeating… 

your body might need some of the following: 

-silicon - nuts and seeds are a quick fix. 

-tryptophan - eat some cheese, raisins, sweet potatoes, or spinach.

-tyrosine - vitamin c supplements should do the trick. 

if you crave tobacco…

your body might need some of the following: 

-silicon - nuts and seeds help, but stay away from refined starches. 

-tyrosine - vitamin c supplements or red, orange, or green fruits and veggies can help.

  • George surprising dream on a call with the news that he got the visa and dreams reaction being exactly what people write
  • Sapnap being the one to pick him up and showing up with a white board just because it’s funny
  • George making sapnap take all of his bags
  • George getting in the wrong side of the car
  • Listening to road-trip on the way to the house
  • George waiting outside while sapnap goes and gets dream
  • “He’s here”
  • Both dream and george being nervous
  • sapnap being so sweet and supportive (“take your time this is big stuff”)
  • Sapnap being the self appointed camera man
  • Dnf jokes being made constantly (literally there were like 7 in the last 2 minutes of the meetup video and then all of TwitchCon)

  • George being the bold one with in person flirting but also not being able to take it when it’s reciprocated

there is a point in your depression where you just give up on getting better but you still won’t kill yourself. you just float around in this state of nothingness and don’t notice anything around you because you’re just so numb and you just don’t want to do anything about it anymore

ED Things

- Napping all day because you have no energy - Waiting for the day to end so you can check the scale the next morning - Holding apple sauce or honey under your tongue to boost your blood sugar - Having literally 4 thousand packs of gum/mints - Having different flavors for different cravings - Discretely squishing and poking at your fat in public - Compulsively checking every window/car/mirror you pass by - Sucking in your stomach all day as a habit - Relaxing your stomach and feeling your sore muscles - Resting only your tip toes on the ground while you’re siting to raise your thighs and make them look smaller - Developing workouts to do while sitting in class - Tensing your hands in pictures to make them appear more boney - Practically living in fuzzy socks and a hoodie because you’re so goddamn cold - Rubbing your collar bones just to make sure they’re still there - Googling the calories absorbed from lotion or henna or perfume - Thinking the 3 calories from your gum is too much for one day - Smoking cigarette butts you find instead of eating - Automatically sizing everyone you pass - Picking your seat in class that has a view of the skinny girls for motivation - Guzzling water in the bathroom before a doctor appointment - Only having sex in the dark - Flinching away from everyone’s touch - Laying on your back and sucking in then standing up and trying to hold that pose - Thinking some thinspo is too big - Discovering all the tricks and poses that make your body checks slimmer - Resenting your skinny friends for eating junk - Reading endless articles about weight loss - Memorizing low cal recipes - Going through low cal recipes to see if you can cut any more calories out - Surviving on liquids and mints - Having to explain why you have so many vitamins to family/friends - Eating baby food as a meal - Literally everything reminds you of your ED - Taking your measurements down to the millimeter - Lying about your religion/diet/allergies to get out of eating - When your weight fluctuates so much in just a few months that you don’t even know what clothes fit you - Instinctively covering your stomach as soon as you sit down - Readjusting your clothes every 30 seconds to make sure there are no wrinkles that could maybe slightly look like stomach rolls - Having that one thing you do compulsively to remind you to stay on track (when I’m sitting down I grab the fat on my inner thigh right next to my knee) - When 100 calories = 2 full meals in your head - Being stuck between always wanting to talk about food but never wanting anyone to ask you questions about it

I’m constantly worried that I have too many problems for you. I know we both have trauma, and mental illness issues, but you still don’t know the extent of mine completely and i’m so scared that if you find out you will leave me. Its worse than you know.

ED Things
