Supergirl Is My Roman Empire

@disquietiswhatitis

Sam Arias is my Superwoman. Multi-shipper. Mostly DC, it’s actresses and/or LGBTQ posts but what even is a consistent aesthetic anyways.

It’s Friday and I felt like being a little fiendish, so I wanted to survey Supercorp fans with these scenarios 😈

Note #1: Not wanting to chance the “multishipper’s loophole,” the genie that let you time travel does give you options to have either Kara or Lena be canonically queer but not with any of their other popular ships. You can’t have Kara be queer, Lena not be and then still end up with Superrojas, etc. or have Lena be queer, Kara not be and still get Reigncorp, etc. The genie isn’t falling for that again. In these scenarios, Kara and Lena either end up with OC’s or you can chance the genie’s mystery bag. For example: a person who chooses for Lena to be queer but not Kara could end up getting Lena paired with Hawkwoman while Kara ends up with Steve Trevor. You have no control and no mulligans with the mystery bag.

Note #2: Going back in time at all still causes a butterfly effect, so if you choose to not change anything, not have Lena be a witch or not have Kara reveal her identity, the Earth Prime comic which Natalie Abrams implied confirmed Supercorp as canon will no longer exist.

Sooooooo...this is a little awkward. I'm seeing some confusion about the sixth option.

"#option 1 definitely#also i could not for the life of me figure out what a six issue miniseries is#i thought it was a limited tv series but the ‘issue’ and the ‘art’ make it sound more like a comic series or animated series#idk maybe i’m just dumb though#korrasami’s ending was great idc#supercorp#supergirl" @whycantwegivellove

Yeah...Option #6 is for a six issue comic book miniseries, not a six episode television miniseries. That's on me. I did what I could to make that clear but Tumblr polls are limited like old Twitter used to be with the number of characters I can include in each option on a survey. If anyone reading this voted for Option #6 thinking it was just a shortened live action television season, I apologize. If you'd like to change your vote, I can't do that manually but I will take it into consideration when I breakdown the results at the end of the survey. I plan on doing that anyone with others who have let me know they voted for something on accident.

Anyway, I appreciate everyone who's participated in this poll so far. Reading all the tags and seeing everyone's opinions has been a lot of fun for me. :)

the fact that we only have “herculean task” and “sisyphean task” feels so limiting. so here’s a few more tasks for your repertoire

  • icarian task: when you have a task you know you’re going to fail at anyways, so why not have some fun with it before it all comes crashing down
  • cassandrean task: when you have to deal with people you KNOW won’t listen to you, despite having accurate information, and having to watch them fumble about when you told them the solution from the start (most often witnessed in customer service)

feel free to chime in i ran out of ideas much faster than i anticipated

Promethean task: opposite of a Cassandraean task. You have the right information, and SOMEONE has to share it. But it's all in the delivery and if you're the person to identify the problem you WILL be hated forever.

Oedipal Task: (1) Attempting to avoid an unspeakably awful outcome and in doing so creating the circumstances that will bring it about. (2) Trying to solve an problem and discovering that you are in fact the problem you are trying to solve.

Odyssean task: you’ll complete it but it’ll take 20 times longer than it should and involve multiple side quests and mini-adventures

Pandorean task: some people fucked around and now it's your job to make sure they find out

i realized my mistake like, three minutes after i reblogged. still lowkey wanna go with nixing witch!lena, but i very much would want a season 7 with canon supercorp, and while i don’t know anything about korrasami, i’ve only seen good things so i think option one is the winner, here. i’d take canon supercorp in the show any way i could get it.

Duly noted. I feel you about canon Supercorp on the show any way you can get it and believe me when I say I share your sentiments about Canadian witch Lena. I don’t think I’ll ever not make fun of it lol

The super short version of what you need to know about Korrasami as it pertains to Supercorp in this instance (there’s a whole rabbit hole of parallels you can go into) is that Korrasami wasn’t allowed to be straightforward when they got together because Nickelodeon had syndication deals with homophobic international markets. Korra and Asami do get together, but it’s the final scene of the series and they weren’t allowed to kiss like straight couples had done throughout the Avatar universe. The showrunners worked around this by having them hold hands, stand across from each other in a parallel to a couple that got married earlier in the episode and used the same Avatar love theme from when Aang and Katara got together at the end of the original series as Korra and Asami went on a vacation to the Spirit World together, just the two of them.

@horatii1784 same deal as I told the last person :)

So, apparently this bill won't take effect until 90 days after the legislative session ends (I am not a lawyer, but I think this is common practice for laws), so the repeal won't be immediate. Fortunately, Arizona also has a Democratic attorney general who has said she will not prosecute doctors who perform abortions in violation of this law.

Arizona Attorney Geneeral Kris Mayes won her election by 280 votes out of ~2.5 million.

Every single vote counts. Every single vote matters.

And your vote for local and state elections matters even more than your vote for national elections because the pool of potential voters is so small. Pay attention to the state and local races!
