Stuck In A Time Loop AU
Since I always seem to only do ShuValt stuff, I thought I'd things up a bit and do a FreeValt AU!
- Valt wakes up one more morning feeling as if something's off. He thinks the feeling is from the night before (he had eaten a whole cake) and brushes the feeling off.
- Throughout the day Valt gets a lot of "deja vu" as everything that had happened to him the day before is happening to him again.
- By the time night hits he's come to the conclusion that no, this isn't just deja vu- The day is actually repeating itself!!! ((Yes, it took him a whole day to realize this)).
- When he goes to bed he places his headband on the floor - And when he wakes up in the morning, he finds it in the exact same position it had been the precious two mornings.
- The day repeats itself again and he goes about the day surprising everyone with his cool new skills of knowing what's about to happen before it actually happens.
- When night comes he's certain things will go back to normal since he did everything right- The next morning comes and it's the same day again.
- Now Valt starts to panic. He's anxious the entire day and goes to bed shaking.
- He wakes up in the same day the next morning and this time he runs into the forest of BC Sol without anyone noticing, or so he thinks.
- Free's training with Fafnir when Valt finds him. Valt looks panicked so to help him calm down, Free offers to battle with him.
- The two battle and after a few rounds Free sits Valt down to talk.
- Valt keeps to himself at first, but ultimately explains how he's been stuck in the same day for what's felt like a week already. He cries and Free does his best to comfort Valt, telling him everything's going to be okay because... He's been stuck in the same day too
- From there Free & Valt discuss their very first day and then the repeated days that follow - After some careful evaluation they find that throughout each of their repeated days there was always one thing they both interacted with, an old victorian picture frame right outside of Christina's office.
- They go to the picture frame but find it missing. Which then sends them on a wild goose chase to find it. And when they do find it- they're suddenly transported into the morning of their repeated day!
- As soon as they get out of their beds, Free & Valt rush to Christina's office, where the picture frame is laying slanted on the wall.
- Free takes the frame into the woods while Valt distracts Christina (she caught them trying to sneak it out the building) Luckily Valt's distraction works and he's able to join Free in the woods.
- They then examine the mirror but find nothing.
- Valt suggests breaking it and Free agrees. They first try to snap it in half, nothing. They then try throwing it on the ground, nothing again. They then try hitting it with rocks, using Free's deer to stomp on it, burning it, etc, nothing works!
- Night is falling and they share doubtful expressions, ready to repeat the day again, when Valt suggests they have their beys attack it. Free agrees and they place the frame in the center of their stadium.
- Valtryeik and Fafnir attack the frame with their special moves until it finally breaks an hour later!
- When the picture frame is broken a strange wind whirls around them with magical that sticks to their clothes. Both bladers end up leaving the broken frame and head back to BC Sol for dinner.
- They eat and part ways to their dorm rooms. Valt goes to bed hoping for a new non repeated day. And lucky for him, when he wakes up, he finds this day to finally be a brand new one!
- The first thing he does is rush to Free's room and practically knocks the other to the floor with a massive hug! He's close to crying tears of joy as he thanks Free for all his help and all Free can do is hug Valt back, thanking him as well.
- They go about their new day with smiles and maybe even holding hands~
And that's all! I hope you liked this small au. It may or may not become a fic later, it just depends... And I know the FreeValt only really came in at the end, but let's just pretend that while they were helping each other they were sharing a lot of cute interactions- Like Free giving Valt little head pats, Valt blushing whenever he Free catches him staring, etc.

Free likes to buy Valt little plushies and keychains whenever he can. It doesn't matter if they're cute looking or not, he just buys them on sight.
Valt's always grateful for this, but he's kind of running out of room with all the plushies he has stored in his room.
This scene is so fucking funny. I had to actually clip it instead of screencapping it or even giffing it to keep the full effect.
Zac is trying SO FUCKING HARD to Threaten And Intimidate Valt, and Valt’s just too fucking stupid to realize it. At any point.
Zac approached him, alone, in an otherwise empty hallway. There are no fans for him to possibly look bad in front of. 0 witnesses to the slaughter. And then every overperformed compliment has a hook in it. He’s trying to build up to a Crushing Realization and Inspire Fear. It’s like…
Zac: “Good job! Oh you’re doing so well, quite a win streak so far! Bet you’re feeling confident! But…forgetting about someone, aren’t you?”
Valt: “Oh yeah! SHUU AND LUI!!”
Zac: ._.
He practically has to flat-out say “Bitch don’t get cocky, I am going to destroy you just like I am about to destroy Akira in a few minutes, you better watch this next match and piss yourself in terror” and EVEN THEN he gets no fucking reaction from Valt. No fear, no respect. Just mild confusion.
Zac gets right up in his FACE and looks at him like THIS:
And Valt just gives him this blank fucking stare. And then Cheerfully Wishes Him Good Luck.

Poor Zac lmao. He was laying it on SO THICK and all of his pass-aggro theatrics went right over Valt’s empty head. Unappreciated.
