Stuff kids on tumblr better relearn

1. You are responsible for your own media experience. 

2. There is such a thing as a healthy level of avoidance towards topics that make you feel unwell or even (in a real-life clinical definition of the term) trigger you - but you are the one to actively take care of what you view.

3. Avoiding does not mean policing others.

4. You have no right to tell artists to censor themselves - you may criticize what others do, you may dislike it, that’s fine - but actively asking for censorship when you could easily unfollow or block a person just makes you look incompetent in your use of the internet.

5. Do not give people on tumblr or /any/ website the responsibility for your emotional well-being. Because these people do not even know you so no, you have no right to ask them to take care of you.

6. Content creators are not your parents and owe you nothing, not even a breakdown on why their content isn’t problematic. You don’t get to demand a dissertation denouncing any and everything unhealthy in a piece you don’t like. Move on.

7. Tagging is a nicety but not an obligation. You can message people, politely, and ask them to tag things, and many people will, but understand that it’s their blog and they aren’t obliged to say yes. Unfollow and block when you need to. Circling back to number 1, you are responsible for curating your own experience.

8. Don’t be a jerk. Remember at the end of the day, there are actual living, breathing people behind each screen name. Don’t say anything you wouldn’t say to someone’s face in real life. 

I cannot stress enough how important it is to remember this.

I personally think a Ren-Cleo team up for next life series would be fun because they’ll make a lot of inappropriate jokes but still be sweet and loyal to each other, and secondly when Martyn swings by for his obligatory hopeless devotion roleplay with Ren, he’ll have to face the fact that Ren is now besties with Cleo of all people.

Something REALLY interesting about this scene

At the beginning of the scene Miles confronts Gwen about the 'small elite strike-team' comment.

Gwen lies and plays it off, saying that most of them are part-time anyway.

IMMEDIATELY after that in the next line dialogue, Hobie confronts Gwen and asks her 'Gwendy, how much have you told him about his place in all this? - Maybe not enough.'

Hobie is expressioning disappointment towards Gwen. He doesn't approve of her lying to Miles, knowing what's gonna happen to him. He doesn't agree with them keeping him in the dark - which is why later in the scene he says

'I haven't gotten a Scooby Doo, mate. But that's what they want.'

He's warning Miles that they're keeping in him the dark, on purpose.

ONCE AGAIN Hobie showing foward thinking and outwardly disapproving of the obviously unfair treatment that Miles is given. He's not angry at Gwen, but he's willing to tell her straight up that she's not doing or telling Miles enough to protect him.

Miles deserved to know Miguel's motives BEFORE meeting him. That's why he pointed it out then.

Making jokes about Noir being colorblind/not understanding colors is how we cope with how unbelievably powerful his brain is

Working at a movie theatre and a male coworker being like ugh all these guys being forced to dress as Ken for their girlfriends but every couple I see is just beautiful excited girls and their absolutely adoring boyfriends looking at them glowing in the sunlight from the theatre sunroof in the popcorn line and like

This is why you don't have a girlfriend man. Men in fact love and adore their partners wake up we love men sound in their masculinity

Shout out to the admins for making the silly one-off characters the streamers/chat get attached to into actual people

The capybaras were just the egg admins playing around with Quackity but then the streamers named them and they came back nametagged

Walter Bob was just a random QNPC until he got named, and now he has his own distinct skin after getting a haircut from Mike

Its a joke thing the admins are doing but I can't help but feel like there's a bit of magic to it; they're mindless NPCs but once they're acknowledged by one of the players, once they're cared for by us, given a name, they become real and distinct. Even Cucurucho didn't have a name once upon a time, and now they're calling themselves the name we gave them.

There's power in recognition, in looking at someone and saying 'I see you, you mean something to me', that makes them alive

If the Federation clone/brainwashing theory is true, and they make players slowly turn into mindless Federation workers... is this how we fight back?
