Okay, actual thoughts though:
I really enjoyed gwitch. Gundam/mech anime really are not my thing and I still don’t really give a shit about the robots…lol.
However, the characters were fantastic. Miorine was an instant fave. Suletta’s passion and love of Gundam is infectious and made me care by extension. I hated Guel at first but grew to like him. The Elan’s were interesting and I liked watching them develop too. Chu Chu is also a treasure.
I do agree with the common criticism that the ending was rushed. Wow, they really did try to fit too much into those last two episodes. They managed to wrap everything up but weren’t able to give the individual plot threads the time they each needed/deserved. I think they would have benefitted from a few more episodes, or from cutting some of those less important subplots.
I’m happy sulemio got their happy ending! They are canonically married which is pretty huge! I’m still disappointed we didn’t get that kiss though, because the rings really are blink and you miss it (which I DID initially because I was looking for it on Miorine in the previous scene and it wasn’t there, so I was paying more attention to the dialogue in the next scene instead). Still, I think we got plenty of other scenes that leave no doubts that they love each other, it’s just a bit disappointing to not get to see the wedding on screen since their relationship and engagement was such a huge plot point!
Overall still very good though.

seriously tho i’m sure other people have already said this but given gay marriage isn’t even legal in japan yet it’s genuinely a pretty big deal for a mainline show in a franchise as big as gundam to end with its two female leads openly married

Much as I bitch about twitter it has been such a genuinely important site for non-Americans and people of color. It had a international and intercultural bend in a way most other social media sites do not and I'm angry that it's all getting pissed away by one rich manbaby.
