Help me humiliate my boyfriend! If he wants to be a little diaper wearing boy, then I’ll let everyone see what a little mushy tushy he is. I caught him wearing one of my new Goodnites, so I decided to put a Tena over it and made him sleep in it. Needless to say, almost 24 hours later, his double-diaper combo was very dirty and he was begging for a change. I had a pair of plastic pants on him to keep the smell down, but around mid-afternoon, I did a complete diaper check to see if he deserved a change: 

As soon as I un-did the snaps on the plastic cover, I could tell he desperately needed a change, but not sure if he deserved it. I will admit, he was super cute sitting there in his dirty diaper for mommy!

Ultimately, I decided a change could wait. Although uncomfortable, you don’t always get changed when you want, no matter how dirty your diaper is. 

I did put a dash of baby powder down the front and back of his diaper, and a thicker pair of plastic pants…really don’t want a leaky diaper getting on anything.

He did not enjoy having to pose for me sitting on that hard surface…lol.

His diaper lasted another 5 hours before ultimately leaking, but I think he learned his lesson that he can’t be stealing my diapers without permission. I’m going to keep him diapered for the next couple of days and see if we need to take this further.

This one really pushes my buttons. The thought of having someone inspect the state of your diaper in public at random intervals has some unexpected appeal to it. To have a caretaker you trust so much that you can submit to him/her to such degree would be really wonderful. The mixture of the embarrassment of having to expose your diaper in public and the comfort of having someone to take care of your every need, combines to an experience that really makes you feel what submission is about. You can trust your caretaker. You don´t need to worry about the potty. You don´t need to worry about the state of your diaper. Just be yourself and let go of all those responsibilities. If your caretaker decides that you need to be checked, who are you to oppose it? After all, they know what they are doing and they only want the best for you…

Part 3 - Adhering The Strip to the Diaper Before we start - a BIG note: never use spray adhesive directly on the diaper, the spray goes too wide and you’ll end up with a sticky, gross diapy.

Lay out your plastic tarps - they should go everywhere you could possibly need to walk during the process and then some - the spray adhesive is airborne and gets on the floor, your feet and anywhere else in the area no matter what you do, which means you’ll have a sticky house unless you lay out something. It’s best to do multiple diapers at one in this step, since you’ve already laid out the tarp. I’ve done up to 36 at a time before the adhesive had built up too much and was affecting the process. Make sure you have a place for the diapers to go away from your work area once they’re done.

Spread out the front panel of the diaper on the board and use the clips to keep it tightly stretched - this will keep it from moving while you work and stop any bunching from the elastic waistband. I recommend elevating the board above the spraying area, or using a TV tray as pictured, to keep it away from the spray adhesive as it settles on the ground.

Take the cardboard box and cut off the top, leaving you with an open end - keep the walls of the box high. Lay down some paper towels to separate the strip from the bottom of the box - replace these every couple of diapers to avoid adhesive build-up getting on the strip.

Keep the box slightly away from the board/diaper to avoid any adhesive transferring while you spray.

Next, lay the strip on the paper towel face down - get it as flat as you can so spray adhesive doesn’t find its way onto the front. Hold the spray adhesive about 12-16" from the strip and cover from edge to edge, making sure to get everywhere evenly. Give the adhesive about 6-8 seconds to set.

Now quickly, and carefully, grab the edge of the strip and move it over to where your diaper is on the board. Holding the edges, drop the center of your design on the center of the diaper, placing the top of the strip at the top of the padding. Now smooth the strip out with the back of your hand (your fingers may have some glue on them) moving from the center to the sides. If things have bunched up or gotten off-center, I’ve found that you have a small window to grab an edge to peel-and-restick before the glue settles. Centering the front design is more important than keeping the sides even, once the diaper is taped up the sides will be covered. If you end up with any overhang, just trim it off with your blade.

There you go - you should have a fully awesome diaper! If your diaper isn’t quite right, keep trying - after only a few tries I’ve gotten mine nearly perfect.

One final note: some of these covers don’t allow you to re-stick the diaper tape, so be aware you’ve got to get the tape right the first time.

Troubleshooting: Q: An edge of the cover didn’t stick to the diaper, how do I fix it? A: If you notice a spot that didn’t stick, don’t use the spray adhesive on it directly (it’ll get on more than you want and ruin your new diaper.) Instead, spray some on a Q-Tip until it’s wet and quickly rub the liquid adhesive onto the strip/diaper, remove the Q-Tip before the glue hardens and apply pressure - you’ll get better at this as you go. Q: I didn’t listen to your warning about using a tarp and now my floor is all sticky - how do I get it off? A: First off, don’t use Goo-Gone or other adhesive removers, they’ll just loosen the glue and spread it around more. Pick up a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, it’ll safely remove the sticky residue.

Part 2: Cut Out Your Design Most party table covers have a pattern running along the sides (the part that hangs off the table) - this is what we’ll be using. Thankfully, most of these are made to designate one space at the table, so the design tends to be a bit larger than the front of your waist. Before you begin, take a small piece of packaging tape or tape from a diaper and make sure it sticks to the plastic - I’ve run into at least one textured plastic that tapes won’t work on, and thus you wouldn’t be able to tape the diaper up (I’m going to see if using clear cellophane on top can solve this in the future). The softer and smoother the plastic on the cover, the better cover it will make - but I’ve had luck with some lightly textured designs too.

Find the design you want, then place the center of your ruler in the center of that design width-wise, now the edges of the ruler will show you where to make your vertical cuts. Make a visual note (here, the left edge is Piglet’s ear and the right is the side of the tree) DON’T CUT YET, we have more measuring to do.

Next, we need to find where to make the horizontal cuts. I find that a 7" long design works well on a a medium diaper, but you can push it closer to 7 ¾ if you’re trying to fit in a big design (every cover is different.) Once again, make a visual note (here, the edge of Pooh’s sleeve, and the top of his left ear)

Now make your cuts - using the ruler to keep your edges straight - starting with the sides and then the bottom and top. Use the painter’s tape to keep the cover from moving around.

Once you’re done you should have several strips roughly 16"x7" (or whatever size you chose) ready to adhere to the diaper, don’t worry about any light creases in the plastic as they’ll be smoothed out in the adhesion process.

Look for different patterns you can use - for example, I was able to center Piglet into his own design and use the Tigger/Eyore background above him as it’s own design too, getting two strips out of one section and 4 different diapers from a single cover. If the center of the cover has a good pattern - such as polka dots or stripes - you can use this as well.

“How do you make these?”

It’s a question I’ve been getting a lot since I started posting photos of the custom diapers I’ve been working on. While the various printed diapers for the AB market are great, a lot of us would love diapers that feature our favorite characters - and if you’re willing to put in a little effort it’s pretty easy. The trick is plastic party table covers - they’re super thin, sturdy and if you look around you can find most popular characters and themes on them (mommies and daddies, this is a great way to match your little’s diapy with their actual birthday/holiday party supplies) Here is a step-by-step guide that should let everyone make their own - hopefully you were paying attention during arts and crafts!

I’m going to lay this out in 3 parts, since Tumblr limits how many photos can be in one post. It’s a lot of reading, but hopefully all the details should be helpful - remember, anything worth doing is worth doing right. For a quick video guide - CLICK HERE.

Step 1 - Gathering Supplies

This might look like a lot, but you probably have half of this stuff around the house already or can find a cheap solution. Only 4 of these things need to be continuously bought and the eventual cost is less than a dollar extra from a plain diaper unless you’re using an expensive cover.

You will need: * Plastic party table covers ($3-10) - you can find these in the party section on many stores, if you have a Party City in your town you’re in luck (the internet can fill in the blanks, of course, but it can get expensive too.) How many strips you get from one cover depends of the design, I’ve gotten as many as 14 and as few as 6.

* Diapers (Cost Varies) - preferably all-white and without a preexisting landing strip. I’ve used Dry 24/7s every time so far and it’s what I’d recommend.

* A hobby knife and replacement blades ($4-15) - X-Acto knife, etc. You might be able to use a box cutter or razor in a pinch. Make sure you replace the blade often, a dull blade will tear the plastic.

* A solid cutting surface ($0-30) - I recommend getting an actual cutting board at an art supply store (or amazon) to help with layout, but a large kitchen cutting board or clean piece of cardboard work also. (This should go without saying, but don’t just cut on the floor, you’ll ruin both the table cover and your floor.)

* Plastic tarps ($5-10 a pack) - you can find them in the paint section of most hardware stores. Spray adhesive gets everywhere, especially the floor. If you’re able to work outdoors you may not need them, if you plan to work inside DO NOT SKIP THEM.

* Spray adhesive ($6-8) - you can find this at most hardware stores (I’ve seen it at Target also.) I recommend 3M’s 45 spray adhesive, it holds well but allows for some fast readjustments. Always use in a well ventilated area, don’t lock yourself in the bathroom and try to do this when your vanilla roommate is home - if somehow you can work outside it’s best.

* A ruler ($1-8) - should be the length you want the front design to be, 16" should work for most. Make sure it has high enough sides to draw the blade along easily.

* A board ($0-15) - roughly the size of a spread-out diaper, you’ll clip the diaper to this to keep it from moving while you lay the strip down. I use a TV tray, it works great and keeps everything at standing level (more on that later.) A finished or sanded board is preferable to raw wood.

* Spring clips ($5) - these will hold everything onto the board, make sure they have soft covers on the tips to protect the diaper plastic. If the board you’re using is thin enough, clothes pins work too.

*Painter’s Tape ($5) - this will help keep the table cover in place while you cut out the designs. You can also use it to keep the plastic tarp from moving. In a pinch this can be skipped.

*Painter’s Mask ($5) - Spray Adhesive is airborne, best to not inhale a bunch of it.

* A large cardboard box ($0) - roughly 20x15" but any size that’s larger than the design should work. Save the box from your next shipment of diapers.

IMPORTANT: Make sure the inside of the box is fairly clean, any dust or dirt from the box might cling to the spray adhesive and stick to the design. If in doubt, wipe down with a lightly damp towel and let dry.

* Paper towel roll ($1)

* Adhesive remover ($5) - Goo-Gone, etc. Mostly for getting glue off your hands.

*“Junk” clothes & shoes - don’t wear anything you care about while using spray adhesive just in case.

After tons of questions, here’s a quick video of how we do double-diapering. A fellow ABDL friend showed this to us, and it works magically.

Quick step-by-step instructions: 1. Start with doing a regular diapering. Get the wearer snugly into the diaper - paying special attention to getting the leg gathers as tightly as possible. That’ll help prevent leaks once the second diaper is on.

2. Place your outer, bigger diaper underneath your diaper wearer. You don’t *have* to do this first, but stripping the plastic of the diaper will leave lots of fuzz around, so I really recommend it.

3. Take some safety shears (seriously, safety shears are highly recommended and they’re cheap-as-heck on Amazon) and cut a small slit into the diaper. How you do this is up to you. I like to cut from between the thighs, from thigh to thigh, with about an inch or so of leeway on each side to avoid cutting the leg gatherers.

4. Once you have that cut, it’s pretty easy to remove the plastic by hand if you wanna “get in there” and pull. If not, you can use the safety shears and cut long strips, downwards, from the width-wise cut you’ve made.

5. I would highly recommend cutting further towards the back than I did. I was trying to get a move on with the video, and we found that a lot of the butt of the second, outer diaper didn’t get wet because I didn’t pull out the plastic far enough to the ground. You could even flip your partner over if you wanted.

6. From there, you put on the second, outer diaper as usual. Again, pay attention to the leg gatherers and make them as tight as possible.

7. You’re done!

Quick Pro Tip, though: When you remove this contraption, do NOT just untape each diaper like you usually would to take off your diapers. The SAP (the fluffy, white absorbent part) from the interior diaper being allowed to roam means it’s going to be EVERYWHERE if you try that. Just leave the entire thing taped up, use your safety shears, and cut along the both sides of the hips and slide the entire thing off. That will dramatically reduce the mess.
