in terms of the religious undertones... veronica has a confession scene in like season 2 i think where shes talking about how shes leading someone she loves down like an unrighteous path. & jughead sacrifices himself to die in a gang fight and then gets carried by his dad in a pieta shot. betty's sister who had an unwed pregnancy becomes a jesus figure and washes her feet to absolve betty of some of her sins (i forgot which ones specifically but probably murder bc of the serial killer gene stuff). archie also gets crucified once. oh also theres like 3 religious cults at different points
